Is there a list of GI/GL Foods

Hi Guys,

I am thinking of moving to GI/GL in a couple of weeks..

I have been searching the internet for a list of foods etc but cant seem to find what I'm looking for..

I'm going to get a book next week that Irish Molly has recommended - but I was just looking for a quick list of foods before by book comes and so that I can start planning meals etc (by brother does the monthly shop - so need to give him a list)

Any info would be fab!

There is a stickie on this forum that lists Gi foods that may help.
Think more in terms of what not to eat rather than what to eat.
Drastically limit, bread, potato, pasta and rice.
Eat veg that grows above the ground rather than below. So little or no potato, carrots, parsnips etc.
Eat berries, plums, pears. Be careful of banana as it is High GL.
Eat beans of all sorts, flageolet, cannelini, broad, mixed beans etc.
Eat oatcakes for snacks with some cottage cheese or peanut butter.
Be very careful about portion sizes.
