Is there an easy way to work out syns?

Like with WW you get a calculator? Im joining up on tuesday so dont have my books yet. and was pondering if theres an easy way to guess at syns. Like is there a formula for it like 20 calories = 1 syn etc?

Generally the rule is 20 calories to 1 syn but if there is free food in your item (such as pasta on a green day) then the values will be lower. When you join you'll get access to an online calculator where you can input the nutritional information and portion size and it'll calculate it for you.
