Had a lovely night at my friends last week and was good to have a catch up and she gave some good advice too. Has been a weird sw week not on or off plan really but resulted in a 2.5 gain tonight so obv off plan too much!

Good news this week tho went about my back on Monday and they are sending me for MRI scan think it is probably a bulging disc and also nerve damage, she doesn't think they will operate but that they will pain manage it. The good news was she said exercise will not do any further damage so to go for it jus have to listen to my body and if its telling me I've done too much :) so once life has settled a little will be back off to the gym :)

Hi all.

Thanku so much for the good luck messages and your well wishes it means so much to have my minis friends rooting for me and my family helps all the crap a little easier to cope with. I am sorry for not popping on sooner I kept meaning to but dad didn't come out of hospital til yesterday and when ppl are in hospital u don't realise how much time it takes up and when we weren't at the hospital I was sleeping so didn't get round to coming on.

Anyhoos his op was last Wednesday and they have said it was successful we have to wait two months until they will test him again and check to see if the cancer has been eradicated and they also check the prostate to see if from that it looks like the cancer may have spread. He was in hospital so long as he is on warfarin for life and they couldn't get his blood levels right with the increased risk of clotting following op, it's still not quite as it should be and he has to go back to hospital tomorrow for another check. He is sore and thoroughly fed up struggling to get used to having catheter at the mo even tho its for a short time. Just trying to keep him from getting too down about it all and getting mum to let me do stuff so she doesn't wear herself out (a job in itself!) at the moment I think we're coping ok and plodding along.

Thanks again for all your lovely messages x

Hello there lovely, so glad to hear all went well and that he is on the road to recovery. My dad was a warfarin user so totally understand all about the levels and trying to get right.

Make sure you get some rest as well, looking after everyone else sometimes makes you forget about number 1 xx

Thanks minks. He is recovering still feeling low and sore and finding it hard to adjust to the catheter, we've had a few tears tonight ( will never get used to seeing my dad cry or be vulnerable, something not quite right with that!) but doing ok.

You are right Hun and I know I need to look after me too I just can't do that until the rest of em are alright lol. Thanku tho Hun x

Jo so pleased do hear your dad's surgery went well and he is finally home, hope his recuperation is speedy

how are you feeling in yourself?

Thanks Donna. Everything crossed that recovery goes well he is finding it hard to adjust and has been a bit upset tonight, doesn't eat any easier to see.

I'm doing ok, relieved that the op is done and just wanting to make sure that dad and mum get through the next few weeks relatively easily. Just a bit knackered think I could sleep for a week! X

Glad to hear the op went well hun and your sounding positive. Xx

Thanks Hun. I am feeling positive just trying to make sure the rest of em stay that way x
