Jonsgirl's Atkins daily blah blah

Wow fantastic well done. Please pass the weight loss fairy over!!!!

Well done on blood results, running around and weight loss - that's all fab:D

Thanks all!

well not much to report here again - life continues to plod along i'm really busy but I'm working from home tomorrow so I can chill out a bit.

i had my yearly performance review at work yesterday and it was all very good and very positive, they seem very pleased with me and some lovely things were said - in fact the only thing they werent happy about is i apparently work too hard and too any hours - but there are many worse things to be told off for!! am glad its over with though - that's one less thing to think about!

Hubby is still home but I think he's got the message about sitting on his ass now so I no longer wish to kill him!

foodwise has been minimalist and probably a bit dull - trying my best to be clean n green this week so I can get a good loss before my specialist appointment on the 5th.

b: decaf coffee.
l: frankfurter sausage.
d: three pork loin chops, stuffed mushroom.

Oh that's great on your appraisal but stop working so hard!!!!!food sounds ok do you have a target to get to before the specialist? Have you lost a lot in total?

I don't work that hard lol but I do build up a lot of hours because it's flexi time. I work from home so my office is always there calling to me - I go in intending to do one thing and when I look at the clock it's two hours later - oops!

The specialist ideally wanted me to get my BMI as close to 30 as possible. I'm currently sitting at 31.9 but last time I saw him it was 37.5 so I've done ok I think. I've lost 2 stone and 1 pound so far x

Thats really good I'm sure they will be happy with that loss x when do you go?

Next Wednesday 5th vicky.

I've been told it could be 6 weeks before we actually start treatment though so I would like to lose a bit more and be in the 10's by then.

Oh that would be good. Just keep on doing what you are doing zxx

Thanks,

i've not been in the 10's since I was 14 lol. I didn't even manage it for my wedding - on my final weigh in the day before my wedding I was 11stone 1 lb - grrrrrr! So I would love to be in the 10's before I start my treatment (apparently all the fertility drugs make you gain weight :sigh: so I want to be as low as possible before that to try to minimise the damage.)

i have been looking into whether I need to change my diet when I start treatment but having looked into it a lot of the experts recommend low carb, high protein for people going through IVF as apparently it's very good for egg quality. So I'm really pleased about that - I wasn't looking forward to going back to my carby ways. Although I will probably up the carbs slightly with more veg to try to maintain an even weight rather than continue losing.

Been to Aldi today and stocked up on my low carb goodies and a shed load of meat - I get really excited about buying a trolley full of yummy food!

food today is fairly mainstream. Having my chicken cooked in mayo and Parmesan tomorrow night and I'm looking forward to it already.

b: black decaf coffee.
l: frankfurter sausage.
d: prawn curry and egg fried cauli rice.

So glad it's Friday tomorrow!

Ooh hope the tens come soon! You aren't eating much x you will be on owl then so can have lots more veggies

I've never eaten breakfast - just cant face it at all. I never eat much when I'm in ketosis either - I always lose my appetite completely. Even when I do eat I'm kind of forcing it down and if I try to eat too much I feel quesy.

I try to make sure I get meat, veg and some form of dairy every day in my main meal though.

I wish I was like that !!!!

Hi,

if it's fresh cauli I just whizz it in the food processor or grate it straight into a wok. If it's frozen I put it in the microwave for a bit to defrost. You don't want it mushy or it won't work.

Then I just stir fry it in the wok with some egg and soya sauce and it's lovely

Weighed in today and the results weren't great only one pound lost - I'm disappointed as I'm at the clinic on Wednesday and had hoped for a final big push but I suppose I am due a slow week after three weeks of good losses.

Took the little man out bowling today and then went for lunch in nando's - half a chicken, side salad and grilled halloumi cheese with loads of mayo - amazing! Hubby and Jacob had pudding each which looked yummy but I wasn't even tempted.

It's blooming freezing cold, wet and miserable here so I'm snuggled up in my slanket with a coffee and watching crap on telly. Lazy day at home tomorrow I think.

Ooh love nandos. Omg you Cant lose every week ;)
