Hi Jools

Happy 2008! Im back on the wagon tomorrow. I have ate everything and then some for about 4 weeks now and I have 10lbs back on. I have decided that there is no point beating myself up - so here I am back to it with a goal to get back to my lowest ww weight by the end of January. Fingers, toes and eyes crossed!

My weigh in is on a wednesday night sweetie.

I don't feel any thinner although I don't feel as bloated as usual! Ive actually been drinking too. I used to have a coffee in the morning and maybe a glass of diet coke in the evening and that would be my liquids for the day. Ive actually been drinking 3 large glasses of sugar free squash which for me is good!
I think its something to do with when I was on CD and I used to force 4 litres of water down me and it would literally make me gag!
Still ... Im gonna aim for 4 glasses a day next week!

Ive also had no bread since wednesday last week and thats a big thing for me too. Im used to having 2 toast with brekkie, sandwich for lunch and bread with my tea. For the first 2 days all I was dying for was a sandwich but now I don't even think about it.

I love making the no points vegetable soup and Im gonna venture making the no points vegetable curry later in the week too.

Ive got 5 1/2 stone to lose (gasp). This is the heaviest Ive ever been and I seriously don't like it! I know I need to do something about it and I don't care if it takes me 2 years to lose that 5 1/2 stone as long as it disappears!

Jools,

Well done on staying away from the bread - it's so difficult to do but it's so worthwhile. I wouldn't worry about not feeling any thinner. I sometimes find that the days I "feel" fat are the ones where I've lost the most weight - it's partly paranoia.

Don't push yourself too hard on the fluids thing. There is contradicting advice on the whole 2ltrs of water thing. Apparently it was 2litres but with 1ltr coming from fruit and vegetables and food in general. The original advice was from a book published in the 1940's I think and whoever quoted it forgot to pick up the rest of the advice.

Keep at it girl - this could be the year when you see a huge difference in your weight and self esteem, never mind your appearance.

Hi Marie

Ive made the curry and its delicious. Its just cauliflower, brocolli, carrots, onions and I drained the water away (well left a tiny amount for juice) and then added curry powder and mixed it all together. All free stuff so you only have to count in for your rice and its a lovely meal!

I decided to cut bread out as I eat far too much of it. I just want to completely cut it out this week to see if it does make a difference. Next week I may go back to my sandwich for lunch. I too love crusty bread and even if I have soup for dinner I make 2 rounds of toast to have with it too!!!!

Starlight .... do you know ow many points are in 1 aunt bessies yorkshire pudding? The ready made 4 minute ones. I can't find them in my shopping guide!

xx

I love all your little receipes Jools, your brilliant with all your cooking ideas - I have tried (similiar) to that curry before and its gorgeous - especially for filling up on if your planning night out/ take away that evening or something.

Well done!

Nikki it makes a change for me to be trying new things believe me! I love the curry and it really is a low point meal thats really filling!

Your doin fab mate,my problem is carbs bread especially.
Ive got the same to loose as you altogether i try not to think about it till i see a photo of meself lolx

Its my weigh in tonight and Im really really nervous! Ive been good (ish) Ive had no bread at all this week which is a big thing for me. As long as I lose 1lb I will be happy as thats my weekly target.
I didn't want to aim for a higher weekly weight loss as I always get disappointed if its not high and that in turn results in more food being consumed!

So wish me luck and I will post my result at around 8pm!

Have a good day all !!!

xx

Well Ive had my weigh in tonight and Ive lost 1lb. Im not sure how I feel about that. On the one hand Im quite disappointed but on the other Ive hit my target and a pound lost is better than a pound gained!
