Homemade trifle- using sugar free raspberry jelly and Sainsburys red berry mix for base, then 3 muller banana and custard and 1 vanilla muller yoghurt whisked together with a little Quark for the middle and 4 x squirts Anchor Light aerosol cream for the top, I worked it out as 2.5 syns for serving (makes about 6 portions)
Delicious!! Mum likes it too and as she’s diabetic it shouldn’t interfere with her bloou sugar too much!! It’s sugar free essentially!!

and here’s the shocking bit, the other fish cake was a Smoked haddock with a leek and cheese melting middle, wait for it, 10 syns!!!:eek::eek::eek: Yes 10 syns for a sodding fish cake!!!! I knew in advance but I really wanted to try it and I’m sorry to say that although it was nice enough , no way did it warrant me blowing most of my syns on it, so that will teach me >!!! :oops::eek::(

Bottom pic is the sw classic cheese and onion pie with a couple of modifications, the recipe called for carrots and green beans in the pie but I omitted these (I didn’t want carrots in it anyway and I’m not keen on green beans), so I added 2 chopped leeks and an extra potato and put half the cheese in the recipe in the pie mixture and the other half on top ...with plenty of salt and pepper, oh yes and I added a couple of cloves of garlic crushed to the onion when I was softening it in the pan. I got the idea of using a cake tin from a sw group on Facebook

Turkey mince chilli bubbling away on hob, dinner tonight, turkey mince chilli (2.5 syns because the turkey thigh mince has to be synned as it’s 7% fat), served on plain couscous with steamed veg, minestrone soup done !!
