Liz's CD Diet to Goal

Yay can't wait to have you back on here. It's so hard to get the time at the mom,ent to come on and i'm missing the focus to be honest. Glad all went wel lat the dentist and you seem so much happier and more yourself again.

Sending massive hugs....lets catch up on here properly soon xxx

Hey hon .
Waving madly I have been away for a while too.
Glad to hear things went well at the dentist hon. I have had lots of root treatment too. its not to bad honest.
Looking forward to having you back soon x

Not been on here for what feels like forever! Got my new laptop, which is lovely :)
Just been so busy with work all through Nov and Dec and then last Friday I split my head open :( Not having much luck with my health lately!

All sorted now, but was a horrible experience and I can't wash my hair for a week, so I'm working from home. Don't want to go out with my horrible greasy locks like this.

Food focus and exercise has gone out of the window really in the last few weeks with Christmas lunches and evening meals. Have to get back on track in the New Year.

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to Christmas xxx

Oh Liz, how horrible, poor you. Are you ok - apart from wanting a hair wash I mean? You really do deserve a bit of good luck for a change. Good to hear from you though. Big hug xx

Hey Bess. Yes am okay thanks. They used glue to hold the cut together, which was nicer than stitches :)
Have decided to wash hair tomorrow. It'll be 5 days and having looked online and asked my Mum, 5 days is okay for skin glue apparently!
I am cooking things for Xmas Eve tomorrow, so need to do my hair and makeup whilst I do my best Nigella!
Right, off to catch up on diaries and see what everyone is up to

Lovely to see you - just in time for Christmas. Sorry to hear about your head, sounds painful and I can't stand not washing my hair so I feel your pain on that.

I do like Nigela, however at Christmas I am Delia gal through and through. Tomorrow I will be making her chocolate bread and butter pudding - the best thing ever (in my humble opinion!)

Yay, good to see you again xxx

Thanks Wales. I'm actually not doing any Nigella stuff lol. A bit of a higgledy pickledy of made up things - quiche, garlic mushrooms, apple and date chutney, chicken and parma ham bites, sun dried tomato and parmesan bread, banoffee pie.

I have found a love of cooking, so am giving up with work tomorrw (BF has to go in), and am going to stick the music on loudly and cook and drink away all day.

I will pay for this excessiveness in the New Year! Lovely to see you too Wales and choc bread and butter puddings sounds amazing....maybe I can cram that in too lol

Oh... have just had one of those mysterious 'vanishing posts' moments... posted a reply Liz last night and this morning it has gone! Just wanted to say be better soon... and was suggesting a santa hat to hide the hair! (I am considering a balaclava, indoors, because it is sooooo cold!)

Hey Liz,

Enjoy your lovely cooking day, i'm not allowed within 20 ft of the kitchen hubby has taken over and i sit and watch...yay!

Wishing you and yours a fabulous Christmas!
xx

Hope your cooking, drinking and loud music was as enjoyable as it sounds - have a very Happy Christmas!!!

Have a great day liz... Happy Xmas!

Happy New Year!
Wishing you a fabulous 2010!

xx

Hey Liz, where are you? Ok after that bump on the head I hope? xx

Wow, not been on here forever which I feel crap about! Hope everyone is well. Was struggling to come on after Christmas excesses, as just wasn't motivated and was feeling pretty depressed. Think I need to use this thread to keep track of what I eat, although I have rejoined Weightlossresources as well.

Back into size 14 top and 16 bottom now, which isn't miles away from the 10/12 top and 12/14 bottom so am hoping I've caught myself in time. Losing weight wasn't without it's ups and downs so I guess maintaining isn't either.

So, today I've had:

Breakfast - Protein shake with banana, psyllium husks (to keep me full), almond milk and peanut butter

Lunch - jacket potato with tuna and light mayo

Snack - gluten free ginger cake, 4 pecan nuts

Dinner - homemade tomato and basil soup followed by curried chicken with mushrooms.

About to go to gym when BF gets back. All sounding very virtuous so far, but have to stick to it. Am trying my very best to eat things that I make myself and cut down on processed foods where possible, but it's going to be a gradual thing.

Hope to get reacquainted with what everyone has been up to at some point.

Hey Liz, how fab to see you back. Know how you feel about post Christmas motivation. Your day sounded great yesterday. Small steps, getting back in control, coming back on here and going to the gym - a very sensible approach.

Am just in home for 10 mins before I whizz off to work so will catch up fully later on - but big welcome back xxx

Agree with Wales... a slow, calm approach is the best one... welcome back and don't worry, you can do this!

How good to see you back Liz, I was wondering what you were up to. xx

Thanks everyone :) Will spend more time on here at the weekend I think so I can see what people have been up to.
It's snowing heavily here and is icy cold. Not going to take dogs, but they're making me feel really bad about it. My hands were so cold this morning with them, even with gloves on.
When will this horrible weather stop?
