Weds May 20th

Good day work-wise, but very tired. Travelling again tomorrow. As for food...

Brekky: bircher muesli, berry smoothie
skinny latte
lunch: veggie wrap (binned half, it was very oily & not too nice. Not as good a choice as it sounded).
tea: latte, 1/2 apple, pack of roasted almonds from mini bar.

Hmmm. Food choices getting dodgy, but no great take-out food options near hotel & getting room service seemed a big fuss when the options weren't what I really wanted either. Sigh. May be easier in next place. Moving on very early tomorrow, so not even sure if I have time for brekky... eek.

Oops, just realised I missed out Tuesday, so here is the confession...

Tues 19 May

Brekky: bircher muesli, berry smoothie, skinny latte
lunch: vietnamese meal... tofu & veg with rice, left most of rice, just too much. Probably a good choice.
Snack: 1/2 iced cupcake, skinny latte
tea: eek. No time, working, & then given a cupcake (I know, another) so ate that. Also a finger of bread with seeds on & a smoothie.

Not sure of cals but probably not looking good. Still, onwards & upwards.

cupcakes sound divine - could do with about three at the moment !!!!

you are doing brilliantly and bet you cant wait to be back and having a bit more control over what you can or cant eat.

I cant believe how quickly the time is going not long and you will be back

Aw, you lot are the best. I am officially 'off' from now until Sunday morning, when I fly to NZ for next leg of trip. Just celebrated with a swim in the pool at hotel, outdoor but heated, as sun set over Brisbane. WOW!!! Feel like I have waited almost two weeks for that treat. Gonna be back in there tomorrow morning too!!!

Vegemite - had a teeny bit on multigrain toast this morning. It was nice, not as 'harsh' as marmite somehow. I'm gonna get some to bring home for kids, but not till I am back in Aus for last bit of trip, at end of next week, as they are super-strict with moving stuff around here food wise!

Thurs May 21st
brekky: mini smoothie, bircher muesli, skinny latte, wholegrain toast & vegemite
lunch: skinny latte, small hummus & grated carrot salad sandwich on wholegrain bread
tea: vegetable juice, lentil & cheese wrap (yum!)

Fri May 22nd
brekky: tomato juice, coffee, bircher muesli
snack: skinny latte
lunch: sweet potato gnocci, salad, cheese; strange tofu pudding - gorgeous.
no tea... ate a lot at business lunch & feel satisfied still. May have coffee and cashew nuts from mini bar if I am hungry, but may just have early night!

Feel so much better and stronger, and happier about choices over last few days too. I LIKE eating this way. I don't want to feel stuffed any more, or feel my teeth melt with too much sugar. And I have started to realize that I like being slim too much to want to mess it all up... it's like a different kind of weight has lifted off my shoulders. No more shame/guilt/shyness/embarrassment about my size/weight. Having a swim earlier and not recoiling at the sight of myself in a swimsuit... or hiding myself under layers of towels and edging guiltily into the pool... THAT feels like a breakthrough.

Well done you, your choices look great and I hope you are enjoying them as much as you sound like you are! Good on you, this IS normal for you now, by jove, I think she's got it!! (Bad reference to pygmalion ;-) ) x
 
Hugs Sleepy, you always know the right thing to say! Just know I am starting to feel less panicky the last couple of days, but baby steps I guess! My net connection will disappear soon, but will check in tomorrow and see how everyone is getting on.

Aw thanks - the before photo was taken after the first week when I had shed 7lbs and the after pic was taken a couple of weeks ago. It is strange how you don't see what everyone else sees until you do a before and after and have them side by side and then you think "OMG I look so different!!!"

I love looking at everyone elses too. It is wicked seeing people change so much and for the better
