You are totally right. I think it's a bit of a journey for us to find what works for each one of us. I have found so far that the more I eat I lose better and when I try to cut down to my cal allowance or less the scales slow right up and they don't move that fast in the first place.

I've been keeping on but have been going over my up days again. I weighed in today and have lost 1.25 lb and I'm glad they're moving down.

Hi I have just come back to juddd and reread my diary to see what worked best for me and i did best when i didn't stress about my up days (never even counted ) and made sure I ate all my dd cals. The minute i stressed about what i was eating on up days i stopped losing,

Hi Teresa thanks for stopping by my diar. I think I am going to do just that and see how things go. I have been counting all calories that go in my mouth since the 1st of October and it sometimes drives me insande and then I find I obsess about whether to weigh or not because of it. xx

Miss PIGGY.

On my DD on Thursday I felt SO hungry and my stomach wouldn't stop growling at me. I wanted to raid the fridge but couldn't because I had my calorie allowance already. Later that evening I logged my calories and realised I hadn't had 400+ like I thought, I had actually had just under 300. I had had 100-150 less than I usually do on a DD and it made me feel very hungry, I'm hoping it doesn't last though because I am planning to start eating less calories on my DD's to see how my losses are with that. I will probably do it gradually, 300 cals, 200 cals and maybe less or a total fast not sure yet. If it slows my losses I'll know to stick to 400-450 on down days and 2000+ on up days.

My exercise equipment has now been replaced, finally! I only ordered it over 3 weeks ago. I am nearly done putting it together and boy I hate self assembly it stresses me right out. I'm nearly done but having problems getting 8 screws in because our screwdrivers are all worn and crap. The screwdriver just slips and will ruin the head of the screw if I keep trying. I'll try and get a new screwdriver tomorrow and hopefully have it all set up ready to use during next week, it will be the first time I have done any exercise since 2009. I also need to find out my weights that are somewhere in the spare room - I call it a spare room it's more like a storage room, it has so much stuff from when we moved 3 years ago lol.

05/03 UD3: 2700+ (not sure exactly as had some chocolate cake that had no calorie info on the packe)

09/03 UD: 3000+ (WOW sounds bad, I had already had 1200 cals and then in the evning I had a lamb doner with fries so this figure is an estimate - lamb doner surely has LOADS of calories)
10/03 DD: 404
11/03 UD: 1933
12/03 DD: 398
13/03 UD: 2435
14/03 DD: 296
15/03 UD: 2700 (estimate again, had 2 rolls from sains bakery and no calorie info on packet - I estimated 150 each)

My calories look insanely high on most up days. I also had 3 crazy up days in a row but I am not going to complain because I still managed to lose 1.¼ lb. The first week was a bad week, I was feeling emotional and when I get down (or happy) I turn to food and lots of it. My excuse for the second week... well, I haven't got one :rolleyes:. I guess I'm just a pig.

In my nearly 6 months on JUDDD I think I have had 1 up day where I got too full before I had got to my calorie allowance, every other up day I could eat and eat but I stop myself - still way over but I could continue. JUDDD isn't going to solve my addiction to food and I never expected it to.

Another horrid day. My Pom had a seizure at 5am this morning and then another at about 1:30pm. He's had 4 now in the last 5 months, well that I know of - he could have had more when I go up to bed that I wouldn't know about. I'm hoping it's triggered by food because I had to feed him a crap grainy food since Friday because the shop I buy his Acana/Orijen from sold out! It would take a week to get it delivered if I ordered it online so I had to feed him something as we had run out, but all pets shop sell is food filled with bl***dy grains! I luckily managed to find out about a pet shop 15 miles away that sells a grain free food so I went there earlier today and got him some. If he continues to have more seizures then I'll know it wasn't the food triggering.

Up day today, didn't eat anything until 5:30pm. Haven't felt hungry. I felt hungry very early this morning but it didn't last long. Have had about 3 hours sleep and will sleep downstairs on the sofa again tonight to keep an eye on doggy.

Looking forward to Easter. First ever diet I can have Easter egg and not feel guilty! :). We are going to have a lamb roast Easter Sunday yummy.
 
DD and eaten all my calories my 11:30am. I'm sure my tummy will rumble later this evening. I didn't quite make it a low one, had 364 cals. Might have a cup of Dr Pepper Zero but no more food today. Will try to do 300 or less on my next DD.
 
I feel like I have been on the loo way too much today. I don't always pee this much on every DD but I have noticed it only happens on DD's and not on UD's... Have read about the DD loo visits before but for me it doesn't ever mean a whoosh on the scales but oh well.

Think I will sleep downstairs on the sofa for one more night... nice looking sofas but they are so uncomfortable and set off my sciatica. At least no more seizures since Sat night/Sun morning! fingers crossed it continues and his new food helps. I have an appointment at the vets tomorrow for something else, I discovered a lump in his groin on Tuesday night it has since disappeared so I'm thinking it could be a hernia. Will see what the vet says.

I am looking forward to my UD tomorrow, the previous one was rather poop and all a bit rushed didn't really feel like eating much.

Might take my measurements at the end of the month, I think the last time I did them was at the end of December. I don't think there has been much change if any at all, feel and look the same as I did in December... I guess just over 7 lb lost wont make much of a difference in the way I look.
 
Hya I have just read your whole diary and I can really relate to you especially with the vlcd.

You really have done great and the weeks where you havnt lost a huge amount have all totalled up and I think it's great that we are able to basically eat what we want and still lose weight, you will be at goal by summer :) x

Thank you shadow12. It definitely does add up in the end. I must really love the plan because I continue on... on other plans one of those tiny losses would have made me give up

Just been looking through some photos on my laptop and found a before, yuk! two befores actually. Put my during photo next to it to compare. Not the best 'during' pic because I wasn't in front of a blank background.

The photo on left (pink top) I weighed 15 stone 5 lb and the photo on the right (black top) I weighed about 12 stone 12 lb:


Seeing these pics, especially the pink top reminds me how my belly was starting to slightly overtake my boobs! It's been a long time since my belly circumference was smaller than my chest.

The photo on the left (grey top) I weighed 15 stone 9 lb (taken about a week before the photo above in the pink top) and the photo on the right again I was 12 stone 12 lb:
