Hi everyone. I have 4 marathons in 2013. 3 Walking ones and 1 bike marathon. I'm still pretty heavy to do much of running because it hurts. But April 7th, I have my first 26.2 mile walk marathon and train almost every day. Hoping when I lose more weight, I'll be able to run.

Day time. Starts at 7am.
To be able to get a medal, you have to complete the marathon in 6 hours and 30 minutes. So I downloaded the 10k app and will include running in that to hopefully be able to finish.
I started the 10k app and having a hard time running because of my shins? Did you guys have a hard time when first starting out? When did it get any easier?
Shin splints are a big typical injury for those just camping up their miles. You can only increase mileage by 10 % per week to do it injury free. Are you increasing more than that?
I get shin splints. And I only just started running so there's not much for me to increase. I try to follow the app that tells me to run/walk. And my shoes are fitted for me correctly so I guess it's just I have to get use to it.
