Hi mia, you are too hard on yourself hun. sometimes we just need to adjust our goals a little. there is nothing wrong with that. for example, i had an original goal to be 4 stone down by now based on my first months loss. but now because my body just wont shift as much weight as it did in the begining, i have to set my goal for a later date, nonetheless, Im going to get there. Im not in a race and as long as i get there in a "reasonable" time, i wont let the slow down discourage me. I found i was measuring my success by others on this forum who have done well in a short time, but now i see , that is silly and wrong coz im NOT THEM, IM ME!! and will get to MY goal in MY time and of course be successful by MY standards with MY efforts. so one day we(you and me) will be posting on here our sucess stories with all the ups and downs and help others going through the same things we once went through. I will say it again, you have done really well, you are close to goal and you look gorgeous!! So a blip is not a faliure, its just a moment in time. Hey , you know maybe I shouldnt say it but if the blip was theraputic in some way, then why not? You needed it. Its ony when it becomes a routine that you need to put yourself in check.... Keep going, be strong.

P.S. Maybe we could start a thread just for people who lose slowly, to encourage each other and reassure ourselves we are not alone and its OK to lose at a slower pace without feeling the pressure of a stone a month!!!
 
Thanks Denise, you know me, and yes I am a bit too hard. I am back to my way of working with the SS and SS+ thing now. I am ok, and can only try my best. But hey, you are in the 12's - that's great because you try very hard and have such a positive attitude.

Me and my daughter decided last minute to go to the pictures tonight. We planned to go for our tea first to a local pub and I decided to have an SS+ meal. Anyway, after a lot of humming and haring she decided she didn't want anything to eat as she only had her tongue pierced yesterday and it was still a bit sore. So we went straight to the pictures. Well, I have been 100% but must admit I am struggling big time. This is getting harder and harder by the day and I just want to sit and literally stuff my face. It seems harder the nearer I am to going on holiday. Tomorrow I am really going to have to concentrate on this diet becasue I can FEEL myself wanting to cheat. I am doing a little mini challenge with another member on here and I weigh myself every morning. My weight this morning was 10st 12.5lb but I take that with a pinch of salt becasue my official WI is a Wednesday at 6.00 p.m. Anyway, I have gone up to 11st 1lb or even 11st 2lb by the time I come home on a night. I don't think I have lost anything - another c*** week !!!! I should be used to it now :(

Just having a moan to myself really. I have been weighing myself on a morning just for a little mini challenge I am having. OK, the scales say I am 10st 12lb which is a loss of 2.75lb BUT this is a morning weight against an evening weight and I don't take any notice of any weights, only my officical WI. My CDC is on holiday so I am going to be weighed again on Thursday evening, a total of 17 without WI. I weighed myself on Wednesday night and all I had lost was 0.75lb - ANOTHER TERRIBLE WEEK. Why is this happening to me. This is really really putting me off continuing with this diet. What's the bloody point?????????? Seeing the scales move downwards gives you motivation but I have none of that. I am soooo sick I cannot write it down in words.

Its my daughters birthday today, and tonight we are having a little family get together, you know the usual. I feel like stuffing my face. Anyway, rant over. Like I say it was only for myself, so ignore me :(
 
Dont do it Mia you will be so mad with yourself afterwards. Not long to your hols now so keep up the good work and you will feel so proud of yourself when it comes xxxx
 
Do you know what Mia, one week my scales were showing 1/2lb down and it was the day before WI, I texted my CDC saying how upset I was and couldn't understand why as I had been 100%, you know, when she weighed me the next day I was 4lb down, one of my bigger losses, not sure what happened, but I was thrilled it had, dont keep weighing yourself on your scales, stick to the diet until Thursday and you are bound to have a loss... and then your holiday is soon after...

Yes, not too long to go, and the home run is absolutely killing me. Its harder when you are nearer to goal than it is at the beginning !!!!!!!!! I LOVE holidays and I am dying for my hols, but in a wierd way I am looking forward to being back and getting back into the diet. The scales are still not moving and I think I need a bloody good feed to get my metabolism working again. CDC is back on Thursday and she is going to kill me when she see's my WI, she will think I've been cheating, but what can I do???? This is worse for me that it is for her I can assure you :). So fed up with slow/no losses I am only hoping that once I put on on holiday I will have a couple of big losses when I come back.

You have done so much better than me hun! After not too much persuasion, I completely jumped ship and have binged on all the bad things you couldn't imagine!!

Thought I would feel better but after gaining 6lbs in 3 weigh ins, feeling bloated and fat, spots galore and no energy- I can honestly say I wish I had just kept at it like you have done.

Now I'm back on the diet (day 1) today and feel much more positive. I have 19lbs to lose and am giving myself 2 months to do it. It may be tough but it will so be worth it in the end.

Not long to go now so keep at it and well done!

I know where you are coming from. There have been so many times I have felt like packing it all in, but never. I haven't done well at all compared to some of the people on here, and to be totally honest, sometimes when I see how well others are doing it really demotivates me becasue I am not doing as well as them :(. But, I am not in competition with anyone so keep going becasue it has to work in the end.

You are such a beautiful girl. You are beautiful with weight on you, so imagine what you will look like at goal woooow!!!!! Keep looking at your avitar photo for inspiration.

Keep going this time, don't pack it all in just so you can taste a bit of chocolate, or cheese or whatever, its not worth it. 19lb isn't too much (its enough I know lol), and you will manage that in no time.

I intend on eating and drinking next week and whatever I put on - well so be it. I will get back on the wagon when I come back and shift it mega quickly lol.
