Hi Mia, there is absolutely no way you should be embarrased coz you've had slow losses, you've lost nearly 2 and a half stone in 3 months, thats brilliant, everyones different, at least your sticking to it.
 
Yes I am sticking to it Lisa, but those kind of losses do absolutely nothing for your motivation. I lost 3/4 of a pound last night and was gutted. I can't understand how, even if I cheat, for the calories its worth, how on earth can I not lose weight???????? I am losing more money than weight!!!!!!!
 
I know its easy to say, but don't get disheartened, you're almost at goal then you can start eating some food again, yay!

I weighed myself on my scales today and I weighed 10 stone 8.8lb, but have just missed my CDC WI as I thought she was coming at 11 and she thought it was 10.30 and I was at my little boys sports day this week, so that would mean I have lost 3.4lb this week which is amazing considering I am doing 810 and went out for a meal, this plan seems to be suiting me more than SS+... but will wait to see if CDC can fit me in, but obviously the later in the day she comes the more I will weigh as I normally weigh in during the morning.
My BMI is still 25.4, so not even into healthy weight yet.....

Well done on your 3/4lb not too bad seeing as you failed to stay 100% for 3 days out of 7... maybe you need to add a meal to boost your metabolism and make your cheating "legal" so to speak... going up to 810 has done wonders to my weight loss.

Becasue of all you ladies' lovely comments about my photos, I have decided that instead of struggling from day to day, that I will do SS+ on an 'as and when' basis. That mean, instead of punishing myself to lose that extra 8lb I am going to take it a little bit easier. That doesn't mean I will eat every day, but just on the days I feel as if I actually need food. This is week 12 for me now and I have decided I am not going to panic about the last half a stone. OK, I know I have to get back on the wagon when I come back from my hols and I definately DONT want to put any weight on, but I am not going to make myself ill or sad for the want of a 200 calorie meal.

Tonight I have had fish and broccoli - and it was bloody gorgeous :). I will update my diary later when I have had all my packs.

PS - I wont be classing my SS+ meal as a cheat, I will still tick my day as being successful becasue in my mind I am not cheating, I am still sticking to plan, but will mark it as a SS+ day.
 
Good decision Mia, there is nothing worse than making yourself feel guilty because you eat when you are trying so hard to stay SS... that is why I moved up the plans as I was struggling so badly. I am now doing 810 and I managed to lose 3lb this week despite eating out on Sunday (which was definately not sticking to plan food), so you can still lose lots on higher plans. Hope you feel much happier with your decision and your weight continues to come off.
 
:) I am still in two minds Greeneyes haha. I am a bit nervous in case I put weight on by the time I go on holiday, then all my hard work will have gone to waste. Anyway, like I say, I won't be doing SS+ every day, and I will still STRIVE for an SS day, but I wont be stupd about it and punish myself - does that make sense? Haha, I know what I mean lol

I have to say I think you have the right idea Mia. I am only 3 weeks in but have decided that the word "cheat" will NOT be part of this diet for me. I associate that with previous diet attempts where I have "cheated" and just thought "sod it, there's no point"...

I feel differently about CD as I can happily go most of the time SS but, like at the weekend, out for a meal with family, I decided to have chicken and vegetables. If I have to take a week or two longer to acheive my goal, then so be it, but I know from experience that putting pressure on myself is like a red rag to a bull!!

I know everyone is different but I think if you let yourself know that you can SS+ you will probably find you actually don't need to do it that often anyway!! Aren't brains funny things!!

Good luck with whatever you decide and be hugely proud of yourself for where you are at today.

Wow you look like you are doing brilliantly! Unfortunatly I couldn't see your piccies as I dont think I have enough posts but I'm sure you look fab. Just wanted to say that I have been doing ss+ since starting and although it's only early days I've been losing really well, so I definitely wouldn't think of yourself as cheating by having a meal as it is still part of the SS plan and you will lose. I think once you deny youself something you just rebel and want it even more! Good luck with the rest of you weight loss. X

Looks like you are doing fab! I have had a wobbly week too as had no real weight loss to talk about, even though I have lost a total of 18lbs in first 3 weeks! (crazy how I can feel fedup after that?!!). Also, my CDC is away and now I am away from Sunday, so will have been 5 weeks between last and next weigh in!

I have had a couple of SS+ moments, but to be honest, I felt so physically awful afterwards I won't be doing it that often! It makes me wonder how I could have stuffed my face with so much more food before, as even this early on in CD life, the effect food has is quite scary. I have been constipated, felt bloated, sick, tired and actually gagging to get back on the packs!! Also, the food has not tasted as nice as I remember!!

I guess this is one of the good concepts of CD as I cannot imagine my eating amounts to ever go back to what they were before.

This is an interesting journey to go on, no one can say it's an easy ride!!

Hello Minx, I am doing OK ish, although I am still hungry even though I am in ketosis. I was 100% SS yesterday, but I am going to have a SS+ meal tonight.

You have done marvellously well. I wish I could have big losses but unfortunately never have. My CDC is away until 9th July but I am getting weighed on my own scales and they have hardly budged. My losses have been absolutely terrible for the past 5 weeks. But, got to keep going.

I plan on being 100% until 9th July then go on holiday and get back on the wagon when I come home. I obviously know I am going to but weight on on my hols, but what the hell - I will worry about that when I come back :)
 
Don't get disheartened hun and don't forget I was a lot heavier than you to start so bigger losses are more likely!

You have done fantastically well so far. I think we all put far too much pressure on ourselves to be 100% all the time and we all beat ourselves up if we slip....however, if you relax, go with the flow, you will be fine!

So what if you put weight on when you go on holiday?! So you should if you are having a good time! The difference being, you now have CD there on your return and know that you can lose it and carry on. Yes, it may take a wee bit longer, but I am sure you would never have acheived what you have so far on any other diet?

God, I am great at dishing out advice, but bad at taking it!!!

Just look forward to your holiday...where are you going by the way? I am off on Sunday for a weeks camping in the Scottish Highlands (no suntan for me then!!!).

I have had my worst ever day on CD today. I admit I have picked at minor things here and there but tonight I have went totally overboard. Also, for the first time since January (even before I started CD) I have had a drink. A glass of red wine.

I am aware that I probably won't lose this week :(, but if I can just stay the same until my holidays, well I can't complain. I am not going to reach my first goal by then anyway, think I was depending on the 'stone a month' loss on CD and it just hasn't worked that way for me. You are not "stupid". Please stop being so hard on yourself. So, you had a blip....you can carry on and you are NOT letting anybody down.

I know it must be frustrating having slower weight loss but look at what you have acheived. None of us are perfect and we are all here for a reason...we have issues with food and they do not disappear over night. Some people on here have 100% will-power....fantastic for them, but I am not one of them!!

Just look forward to your holiday, enjoy it and do not let this get you down. Come back refreshed and ready to get back on the CD bike!!

Turkey is fab....jealous of the tan you will get! I am just going to get bitten by midges in Scotland!!
