Miss Mac diary - A fresh start!

Well i am going to bed happy in the knowledge that i survived day 33.......just!!

Thank you all for keeping me on track and reminding me again why im doing this :)

At least when you look forward tomorrow, you are closer to your goal than you were today ;)

Well done MM 33 days is really amazing you should be so so proud of yourself - take one day at a time and they will all add up -this will be your year keep up the fantastic work xx

I have just made a major mistake!!:(

I just looked ahead and realised the enormity of the task ahead.

It is going to take me 3 months of pure TFR just to get back to my lowest diet weight of 13.10!

I cant believe that when i was 13.10, i didnt just keep going. Why the heck did i give up there and pile the weight back on and MORE!

Whats more is that i didnt just get there once, 13.10 is a weight i achieved a few times! I had loads of chances!!

Thats whats annoying me so much its that it would have been bad enough going back up to the original weight without the added extra!!

So now, because i went so high up the scales it is going to take me so much longer to get back down again.

One day at a time was working so well now it feels like a mammoth task!!!

Try not to thunk about what you weighed before but think of how you felt before. I've beat myself up over the last year or so, as in Feb 2012 I weighed 9.7stone (that's when my profile pic was taken) but gave up smoking, then started working in a kebab shop and well...here I am. It's taken me a long time of yo-yo dieting for me to get to this and I've had to learn that it's about how I feel in myself. Think about how you feel every week when you step on the scales, it's a good feeling because you're losing weight. Try not to focus on the numbers but the feelings (if that makes sense) and try not to think of how long you could be on TFR for, just keep taking it one day at a time. I know how hars it is to put previous weight loss in the past but we need to put it behind us, as this is a whole new journey. I do feel your pain hun but try to let it go and look to the positives. Have a good day my lovely xx

Thanks twinkle.
You are so right and everything you say is true and makes total sense.
I am going to be positive about what i have achieved now rather than what happened before now.
Thank you hun x

Month 2

Week 5

Day 34

Today is going to be a good day!! :)

I am in my smaller uniform. Its slightly on the snug side but i think part of that is only because my other ones had got so loose and im used to them.
It feels good though coz i remember how tight my bigger ones used to be on me so i know in a few weeks this size will be looser too!!

The snugness also just makes me more determined as i prefer looser so thats what i need to do!! :)

Try not to be overwhelmed, if anything the way you felt yesterday will ensure you don't do it again. You now know the damage we can do when we take our eye of the ball and yesterday you realised how demoralising that feeling is. Sometimes we need to remember that feeling in maintenance. I think you should copy that post into a diary or something that you can refer to in times of struggle? I love the feeling if new smaller clothes as it does keep me on the straight and narrow! Well done!!! Hope you have a great day! Xxx

Just back from the hygienist!
The crown the dentist put in has given me gum disease.
Before that the hygienist cleaned my teeth too vigourously that she gave me gum disease!

I don't like going either. I hope they didn't charge you again MM. You need a refund if anything.

No its should all be covered.

Im at dentist on 19th and he needs to sort the crown out. Seems there is abit of cement or something blocking between my teeth so i cant floss and its obviously affecting my gums. :(

What a run of bad luck you're having at the dentist, hope it's not painful for you. Glad to read you're feeling positive today.
