Miss Mac diary - A fresh start!

It's probably mostly water. Just keep on cutting back on the calories for a few days and stay low carb. That'll be off in no time. I know that you must be tempted to dive for the shakes for a few days, and I'm not saying don't do that if that's what you want to do, but I think this is all about learning how to control our weight when we're eating normal food in normal patterns i.e. the occasional blow out requires a period of restraint to make up for it. It's all about balance. I think when we're maintaining we have to start looking at the bigger picture, a bit difficult after a period of VLCDing when we're very focused on the short-term. Yes, still weigh daily/weekly so you know where you're at and so that you know if you're going off track but as long as, from month to month, you're not gaining then that's fine. You've already cut back on your cals so maybe keep going with that and see where you are in a few days. I guess we have to decide whether we want a lifelong reliance on Exante, or similar, in order to help us maintain or if we want to learn to do this while still eating actual food. Just don't panic. It's only five pounds which can be off in a week or less.

We all do it & know how you feel MM. Its not proper weight so don't worry too much.

Just keep thinking of how much better you feel after eating healthily rather than having a binge. Stick to plan & it will be gone again soon. xx
 
Hi MM. I've every faith in you reaching your 12st 13lb goal, never mind losing that 5lb!

This weeks weight: 13.7

Loss: -3

8lb to goal.

So i am happy that some of last weeks huge gain has gone. This week i will try hard to get into lower 13's again. :)

I am sorry i haven't been commenting much these days, i do read though to see how you are all doing and im pleased to say you are doing fab!!

I am just so busy at work these days and by the time i get home, im exhausted. I read your diaries to unwind but thats normally about all i can manage!

I have a terrible cold at the moment too which came on very sudden on monday, so thats wearing me down a bit too. :(

Diet wise i am doing ok i think ;)
I wish i could consistently lose like i did on tfr but i dont seem to have got the hang of that yet!
Still, as long as i can maintain over the summer i will be pleased as that will be a massive learning curve for me and i can get the rest off in sept oct nov as planned.

Its strange because this is my lowest weight for years and previously when i have got to 13.10, i have felt great and like i dont need to lose more, this time however, i still feel like i have a way to go. Strange how we feel different at different weights!
Its good motivation for my phase 3 though!

Its good to have a goal so i am still aiming to get back into the 12's before the end of summer only 8lb to go! So near but yet when doing a food based diet, it seems so far :D

Well done on losing 3lbs of your gain while eating normal food. And only 8lbs to your summer goal!

Gain: 2

I am up and down like a yoyo but in all honesty, i am fine with that. My plan was to maintain, and i am.
I would prefer to maintain in the lower 13's and of course reach the 12's again but i am happy doing what im doing for now.

I made a big sunday dinner with dessert in sunday and invited my sisters over and yesterday i got a rare early finish from work so my son and i went out for our tea! Tomorrow im off work and the school is on strike so we are going out for lunch :D

So 2lb is good in the grand scheme of things.
I face up to it every week though to keep my weight in check.
I will try for a loss next wednesday though ;)
