getting a bit confused by this checking inches thing...how do you know that you are measuring in exactly the same place, as I'm not sure I do? (apart from on my thighs, where I have a couple of moles that I use as markers!)

Do just under your boobs - where the wire sits - an inch above your belly button for natural waistline and the fullest part of your hips HTH
