Aww how wonderful are your two girls! BEAUTIFUL picture and totally worth all the anxiety and pain you've been through. SO glad that Jessica (lovely name) is doing well now and home.
Hope you are able to recover slowly and look after yourself and your two beautiful girls.

Hes been good. He did ask us to go back home when we left the hospital so he could look after us. but as i was in longer than we thot i just came back here myself. I thot what the point in having the help and gettin used to him being there, then havin to get used to being on my own again. better get used to being alone from the start. he has been comin in everyday and taking me to the shops, an appointments etc

Jessica had her outpatient app, and her platelets are now up in the normal range :) so we have to take her back up next monday to have them rechecked, and hopefully they will still be up there and she may be discharged from outpatients
 
Had Jessica back at the neo natal unit on monday and her platelets were even higher (205) woo hoo. SO thats her until april... :) u have no idea how happy i am with that. Im back at the haematologist on wed next week to have mine checked, but im sure they are fine too.

Jessicas now up to 3oz every 4 hours. Having to wake her in the afternoon for her feed... Shame she cant sleep past a nite time feed lol The mw was in to weigh her on sunday and shes now up to 7lb 11 :) shes doin so well considering all shes been through. So we were both signed off from the mw.

My scar has been really sore this week. And very nippy. So i imagine thats it healing. But when i cough, sneeze its sore like it was in the 1st week. Cant wait for it to go away. Went a walk to the park and was in agony for 3 days after, so wont be doing that again for a while

My pram is being delivered 2moro woo hoo. For those of u who dont no the pram i bought was out of stock when i asked for it to be delivered! so i was given a replacement pram/car seat in a diffrent colour unitl it was ready. SO looking forward to it arriving 2moro. Not that Ive used this one much. What a waste, not sure what they will do with it now.

Rhiannon left for florida yday :( She wont be back until the 8th feb. Missing her already as ive hardly spent that much time with her this month. Its been hard as usually its just me n her.. But hopefully by the time she gets back ill be feeling heaps better, and we can get out and about and do more 2gether than we have done 4 ages..

Havent started my diet yet. Thinking of starting something on monday but not sure what yet.

Sorry your scar is sore, hopefully means it's healing though, try and take it easy!

im glad daddy has been involved, i didnt expect anything different, but its nice to hear that you have the support you need...

and hope LO has an absolutely wonderful holiday, not going to fib im green with jealousy!

Have just spent 6 days at my parents :) Didnt have to lift a finger it was great. Back home now lol

Was at the hospital this morning seeing my haematologist. My platelets have dropped to 80 :( They think it may be a chronic condition I will now have for life. They may rise and fall through life. But as long as they dont drop below 50 this time I wont need anymore transfusions. Back again in 3 weeks.

Jessica has a wee blocked nose. Its horrible when shes feeding and can hardly breathe bless her. She would sit in my arms all day long. She will fall asleep and as soon as u put her down she wakes!

She still wakes during the nite. Usually goes down around 10 and wakes between 2-3 then again 4 hours after that, which is not bad, but when ur on ur own with her 24/7 its tiring.

I weighed myself again and ive lost half a stone since i left hospital. Im now over a stone lighter than i was this time last year. Cant believe it. Am not dieting yet. Its just so hard fitting meals in when im running around after Jessica myself. Have just been for a buffet chinese with my dad this afternoon and it was ovely lol Still undecided about wot diet to start, as really waiting for CD. But am still bleeding and cause i had a section my doc wouldnt sign me onto it. Have my 6 week check soon with my consultant, will discuss it with her what i should do and when i should start it. In the meantime i hope the weight will continue to fall off, thats almost 3stone since i had Jessica!!!

Jessica had a nose bleed yday. So called the neo natal unit. Had to take her up to have her bloods checked and her platelets have dropped :( The doc called last nite to say they couldnt find her notes, so dont know what they want to do next and said they would call me today... Pray for her that she will get better and its not thrombocytopenia
 
Really hoping it's not bad news hun. She's absolutely gorgeous!
 
Starting my diet this morning. Have been eating crap the last week. And after having such a fantastic weightloss after the birth, the last thing I want to do is put weight on... Not doing any diet in particular as ive not had my 6 week check, and also cause of my low platelet level. So just doing healthy eating,and try n continue to lose a few pounds like i have done since i had Jessica.
 
There booked on a flight tomoro. But it all depends on the snow in philly.... So keep ur fingers x they get on it cause its horrible without her. The house is so quiet... well when Jessicas not crying that is lol
 
I AM SO TIRED!!!!

Its all catching up with me now. When i go to bed i cant get to sleep for ages, then im up with Tallulah!! What i wouldnt give for one full nites sleep.....

Its so hard being up all day, then getting up during the nite too... Roll on the day she sleeps 12 hours at nite....

Im off to get my blood checked in half an hour. Ive got more red dots over me, so i doubt its good news. But hopefully the platelets r above 40-50 so i dnt need any treatment

Started bleeding again last week. Thought it was my 1st period starting. As the week went on it got heavier n heavier to the point i was having to change a pad every 20 mins. Ended up calling my gp on thur, and he called the hosp. Went up and had my platelets checked, they had dropped to 22. So had to go into hospital to have a transfusion. Felt rotten after it. Sore heads n just generally unwell. Also was given tablets to help with the bleeding. Was back at the hosp on monday and my platelets were up to 197. Back again in 2 weeks. Really had hoped all this would have sorted itself by now :(

Jessica was weighed on tue and is 9lb 7 now! Shes doing really good. Going to bed earlier and waking at 4 for a wee 2oz feed and back to bed until 8-9. Much more settled now shes in her own cot. WOnt be long until her 1st lot of immunisations start

Had my 6 week check, and they didnt do anything apart from ask if i new why the birth ended in an emergency section. and if i was considering having another baby. then she spoke about how they would care for me if i did get pregnant again. and how i would have an elective section.But she didnt even look at my wound which i thot was unusual...

weird how they didn't check you scar eh!
I had a tummy prod from Dr and blood pressure taken that was it for my 8 week check - oh and contraception. lol
Hope your platelets stay stable again ((hugs)) such a pain for you and not making life easy on the sleep / energy front i'll bet either.
One thing I will say, having had foster babys with night issues, get your sleep when you can, even if it's half an hour in the day it all adds up to a more clear head and more energy. ((hugs)) Glad Jessica is doing well and hope Rhi is too. Bet she's looking forward to her birthday. :)
