My 128 lb Drop Diary [WEEK 67]

I feel very comfortable with the cut hair, and glad I got it done now. Apparently it makes me look slimmer too according to friends and family which is always a bonus!

Moving the subject away from the hair... I spent a few hours playing football and basketball with my friends. I find it very difficult to run without lots of pain. All my leg joints were in pain, and I could feel twinges in my hamstrings and groin muscles. So I am kind of disappointed that I cannot run with ease yet :(

Thank god for the rowing machine. I can do hardcore exercise without any pressure on my legs. Hoping I can run a bit easier soon. But other than that everything is great, exercised each day so far and my diet has been below my 1750 target each day.

A solid 2lbs would be great on Sunday!

Haha my generation often refers to it as the "duckface". It gets widely criticized because many girls do it on Facebook and stuff. So I just thought I would mock it... I love how that was my last photo with long hair!

Lol, yes it does look very much like the poses that my 13 year old and her mates strike in FB photos. ;) xx

It's my parents 27th Wedding Anniversary today. My family are going to celebrate at a Thai restaurant... which basically means overkill levels of salt. I am going to stay super sensible. Will try and pick options that won't make me retain a ton of water. I am drinking a lot of water today in preparation, because all the food will be high in salt.

My body is so sore and stiff from a lot of exercise this week. So I am not working out today, at least I don't plan to. Sometimes I will just make a spontaneous choice to just workout even if I had no intentions on doing so.

Either way I will have a great long workout tomorrow in preparation for the Sunday weigh-in. I am feeling confident this week, like last week, that I will get a nice loss.

I am walking to the Thai restaurant, which is like a 10 minute walk. So I guess that counts for something!

Healthy, cheap alternative to fast food.

Smoked salmon, any frozen vegetable mix and 4x egg whites. Fry Salmon and vegetables together, then add egg whites in the final phase of cooking. Lots of protein, vitamins, and omega 3 fatty acids. And took me 5 minutes to cook.

I will have these ingredients stored in my freezer for any day where I run out of food or need a quick meal.

I hope last nights Thai meal doesn't catch up to bite my weigh-in result. I weighed myself today just to see how much water I retained and I was 279.8. A pound gain.

I know it is just water, so it will be interesting to see how much lower I will be in tomorrow's weigh-in. Drinking plenty of water and keeping salt below 6g and I should be okay.

This has probably been my best week in terms of diet and exercise effort since I started - excluding the 100% month weeks. Performed 20 minutes of high intensity cycling and 30 minutes of rowing - now all I have got to do is hope I lost something decent because I did work hard this week.

Hoping I weigh-in at 277.2ish at least.

I hope you are all doing well!

Disappointing weigh-in :( Clocking in at 278.6, so that's a 0.2lb loss. But I tried really hard this week so I am disappointed.

We will see next week if it is just a water weight thing if I end up losing 4lbs or something.

I prepared myself for disappointing weigh-ins or even plateaus, so I am still feeling good. I will just have to smash some fat off next week.:D

Just to maybe make you feel better... ladies following a 650-800 calorie per day plan (so guaranteed weight loss) while doing heavy exercise can sometimes lose nothing for weeks. There can be a lot of water retention in muscles which are damaged - and I remember you mentioned you felt a little sore this week! So it's likely that it's just water for repair. :)

PLUS - on a different subject - I once gained 2 lb in two days JUST because I hadn't been to the loo properly - even while following the 800 calorie per day plan to the letter. It was down to a lot of fibre build up that hadn't exited.

So don't worry too much about it. The body is a funny thing - but if you KNOW you're doing everything you can (which sounds like you are!) the weight WILL come off. :)

x

It's still a loss and it may have been from the Thai food. Our bodies don't follow our weekly deadlines, they'll lose when they want to so mid next week you may have a huge drop.

Keep up the water and don't get despondent. X

Hey, Alex, small losses or even gains can happen to even the most dedicated amongst us, for all the reasons other people have mentioned. Maybe don't weigh yourself as often, as I've suggested before - monthly is much more sensible, and is what I'm trying my best to stick to. :) xx

It isn't demotivating me, so I don't see it as necessary to weigh once a month.

If anything it motivates me more, and I know it is just water weight anyway.

Same here chuck.. Makes me work harder to get that loss I crave! X

Weight loss is my #1 priority in life right now. Gains, small losses & STS results are a part of the journey and I am always prepared for them. I had a great loss last week so a small one is absolutely fine. A loss is still a loss right? :D

I am positive I will get at least 2lbs next week, I will put in extra effort this week to make up for a small loss!

Today I treated myself to a pizza hut pizza. Just a medium plain cheese italian pizza. Has 1100 calories in it, and I have another one that came free that I may eat during the day. Pizza is all I am eating today! :ashamed0005:

It feels weird posting that I am eating that on a weight loss forum. But is this a bad thing? No. I want to be able to eat bad stuff and relax still. I educate myself on the fat and calories I am consuming with junk food and eat it occasionally, I think that is a good balance.

Usually on Sundays I just relax but I seem to have a desire to exercise everyday now. The weather was nice so I played basketball for an hour. I came back on worked out on an indoor bike and got a good sweat going.

I am excited for a good solid week. I am going to go for a 4lb loss this week. I am going to put 150% into working out and keeping my diet clean. I think I can do it.

You enjoy it! You deserve it alex. I love pizza but haven't had any for ages, and living in the middle of no where means I've never had a Pizza Hut pizza and I've always wanted one :)

Tonight we had spicy chicken (homemade) and roast pork fried rice from the Chinese.... Delish!

As for talking about food - we all got here because of our love of food so you carry on! I'm really passionate about food and cooking and love reading about ideas and meals and flavour combinations etc. it's like literal food porn for me, I could read food descriptions all day :) x

Indeed I love cooking even though I have very basic cooking skills. And although I love healthy food, I still enjoy junk food and I think cutting it out 100% would make it much harder.

Hmmm, Pizza Hut, nomnomnom! :D Absolutely nothing wrong with that - deprivation is death to long-term weight loss, so enjoy!! Actually, this weekend I've eaten 4 scones, 4 cookies and a bag of giant Yorkie buttons - baked goods are my major thing when I have treat days, lol. :) xx

I was going to get on my soapbox and tell you "Bad boy!! Pizza Hut Pizza of all things!!" ... but then I read back and ... actually you were very calm and careful. You know the calories in it and you know that it's a treat... SO - *gets off soap box* well done you! We do indeed all need a treat every once in a while and you are in FULL control! :D Very inspiring!

When I want a pizza - on very rare occasions I do order it... Sometimes I opt for a shop oven pizza because calories are more clear cut... but more often than not I get a Warbuton's square wrap, chuck some tomato paste, cheese + toppings I want and it works out even more healthy. :D

If you want to completely experiment and go wild with super healthy pizza - there's a cauliflower crust recipe : The Lucky Penny: The BEST Cauliflower Crust Pizza! ... dare you to try it ;)

Yes, Nestle is my favourite chocolate. I did feel realky sick after I'd eaten them though - maybe they're really NOT for girls, lol. ;) xx
