My diary

I couldn't eat until the next day, I wasn't feeling ill from my section or anything I just completely lost my appetite and by that time I had eaten for about 35 hours but I did take a lot of snacks for when I was in labour etc, not that I felt like eating then either but I will be taking snacks again x

what nightwear are yas taking? are yas taking nighties or pjs etc? i am quite a self conscious person and i always wesr full in pjs etc and i am the same i norm clothes im always covered , i nevwr ever wear vest tops etc as im a nightmare hehe
im hoping for a water birth too so need something for water

I wud say pack newborn (upto 10lbs) and maybe some tiny bits I found newborn to big for hollie and 0-3 mths wudnt even fit hollie now and she was an average size birth weight, I took a small pk of nappies in with me but didnt use many cos you get a few freebies so maybe take half pk with you, those of you having or cud have sections I wud pk about 6 sleepsuits and vests and take a few blankets with you cos sometimes there first poo goes right way through there clothes. Definitely pk snacks you might not feel like eating but if you got have pain relief after birth you need to take the tablets with food so they work, I didnt eat much in hospital wudnt touch the hospital food yuck but didnt have much of appiete still haven't really x

I took in a pair of blk jogging bottoms from peacocks really comfortable only 7 quid and wore tops with them, and I took in 2 pairs of pj's dressing down and pair of maternity linen trousers which are really comfortable over my scar and a few long cardi's and of course plenty of underwear but if ur having normal birth they usually send you home the morning after or sooner x

i was thinking of just gettimg two pair of new pj bottoms and few vest tops,i hate wearing vest tops but not may people will c me in them in hospital ,also i dontthink it practical me going in full on pjs.

thanks cas, gonna get a bulk buy of wipes on the asda event thats on at the min. do you thunk asdas lik angels wipes wud b as gud as huggies or pampers?
i also want to stock up on more nappies but got all huggies at mo so dont know whether i should get size 3 in another brand

I went asda today and got pk of 2 pink baby towels for a fiver and pk of pink sleepsuits for fiver, not tried little angels wipes but there probably be fine for when baby is bit older I usually use when there newborn pampers sensitive or johnsons wipes sometimes you get them on offer for £1 in supermarkets, but I use normal shop brand wipes on my toddler. As for nappies dont think it matters wot brand you buy I usually buy pampers or huggies not had any problems with either brands x

Haven't got my food diary today as going to have Chinese for tea tonight, still stressed but hubby has had a call to go for job interview at my company, although the job may not be any good money wise or location but we will see and my parents may have found a house, my aunty seems to be stable so things are looking up. My dad lost his arguement to get the dog put to sleep too! Hope everyone is well xx

thats good cas, i never actually been in asda store when the event been on ive only ever looked online, how lazy am i ha.
they have got the huggies wipes 12×64 pack wipes 8.00 online which is good.
i was worrying about huggies nappies as thats alls ive bought and heard bad reviews bou them leaking.
ive gt two boxes of newborn size 1 and two boxes of newborn size.
should i stock up more on them sizes or wud u gt size 3?

Our normal chinese was closed so we tried somewhere else.......it was horrible :( only ate half, serves me right I should have cooked he he x

Exactly, from now on I'm sticking to our usual. Didn't want Indians as I've had heartburn a lot today and I didn't want to push my luck x

i only had fish finger butty for tea and oh gone to work ,he be home by 10.30 so i am tryin to hold out and thinking of what to make for when he gets home

I got my pj bottoms and longish best tops both from primark, the pj bottoms are really stretchy and dark grey so good colour only a fiver, think the best tops were £3 each and I got 2 longer nightshirt type tops for before I'm up and about that we're £5 each too and I'm gunna take some old pjs in too cus I have loads of bottoms. X

I'd say too take snacks, when I was in over weekend dh was starving and we had nothing at all so been and bought some stuff for hospital bag snacks for both of us it's all bad food but I'll need it when I'm in there I've got

Big bottle lucozade
Multipack Ribena cartons
Tube of sourcream Pringles
4 pack mars bars
4 pack snickers bars
Big bag of giant buttons
3 for £1 jelly sweets
Box of Frosties cereal bars

The food was horrible while I was there too so planning on getting dh to get me sandwiches from Tesco on his way in and then get McDonald's at evening if I don't like what they serving, got a costa coffee in hospital too so will keep sending him to get me caramel lattes and chocolate brownies haha x

And about asda wipes I have used them since birth on jess he has excema quite bad an really sensitive skin he can only have pampers nappies, but asda non fragranced wipes always been fine with him and same with Tesco ones, I've bought loads this time I went baby event last night and got some hooded towels, that jungle baby swing, nappies, tiny baby babygrows and 2 jackets oh and few bibs spent £70 but I couldn't help myself haha going to go back at weeks d get some more nappies and wipes and that breast feeding pillow they have x if anyone not bought a swing yet I reccomend that one it folds up so small so gret if you not got a lot of room like me and for the price it's a bargain x
