My diary

Yeah, I just hope it's not a false alarm. What happens if you go into labour before your section Jessie? Can you/will you try for normal birth? x

If ur cervix still shut will they sweep u Friday

I have no idea, I don't think they'll know til they try the sweep but they won't be able to get to my membranes if my cervix closed so we'll see what happens I guess x

No I'm going to go for section I got geared up for that now she won't come b4 that no way I will only b 39 weeks Sunday x I got consultant tomorow and the blood tests have u got to c consultant again ?

Nope, the anaesthetist came to see me at hospital, he said not a problem accessing my spine properly for epi, spinal should I need either x

Thanks, hubby's going to get his tea, then I'm going to go for a walk along the beach, see if it speeds something up, I'd liked to be checked out again tonight though at hospital if contractions continue because otherwise hubby will go to bed I won't be able to sleep and I'll be worrying that I've started labour and not being monitored, if I go and hopefully sent home then I'll at least have my mind at rest while hubby gets some sleep. They've drilled it into me that I must go to hospital when in labour but I can't know when my cervix opens. I'll keep everyone posted. I feel fine in between my contractions x

Yeah well I was in before and they let me out as I wasn't 'in labour' but they have stressed how important it is I'm monitored when I'm in labour so I have to judge it, the pains getting very bad but I'll get checked to be on safe side after all hospitals aren't always right x

She doesn't think I sound like I'm not coping and says my cervix was very tightly closed this morning so she doesn't think I need to go in. Maybe I should ask her exactly how long it will take my cervix to open then since she made it sound like it's not been long enough. I've been up since 5 contracting constantly through the day, too painful to sleep. I just want to know what's happening if anything. I'm goin to be up all night how am I meant to go through labour with no sleep, I can see this all goin wrong x

Terri please try not to stress Iftar ur self to hospital if u r not settled get some pain killers make a fuss too its been 15 hours since contracting ! Least ur mum has jack have u a ball to bounce on ?

Yeah but I'm too scared to sit on it lol. I'm more worried that somethin might go wrong with baby and I'll end up with section if I'm so tired cos I know I won't sleep tonight, that's starting me panicking. I'm going to get hubby to ring after 9 and tell them I need to be checked. I'm not even wanting kept in, I want to come home again I just want to know what's happening. My first labour was 36 hours since waters and then emergency section think it's just hitting me how long this is going to take and I'm trying not to get stressed x

Call at 9 or go down there get checked and take ur bag too if u need to stay in its best for u and princess ur bp wil raise if u get stressed and that's not good so c how u go at hospital X

Hiya. Thanks Cas, I've been to the hospital. Cervix now opened but not fully effaced yet - not sure what that means. She said it might not seem a lot but this is a slow part of labour so I'm doing well. she managed to give me a sweep, lost a lot of my plug less than 5 mins later. On way home now. Fingers crossed somethin happens soon x

Forgot to add only 1-2cm dilated, and my midwife was really lovely and helpful, not like the woman I saw before. glad I went in, contractions still v painful but I know somethin is happening x

Still nothing happening, had to go back to hospital was in so much pain. Was given codine, feel like rubbish, have had an hours sleep. Contractions eased a bit but we'll have to see what happens today, was still 1-2 dilated at 4.30 gutted. She said this 'latent' stage can take ages so I've got to wait it out x
