Newbie just leaving the 26 stone zone...need some buddies to keep me going :)

Another 2lbs off this week taking me to 20stone13.5!! :) I'm in the 20's!! Next stop - teens!!

But before that - 3lbs to my 6.5 stone award and 10lbs to go for my 7 stone award!!! Whoop :)

Woohoo!! Can't wait to be within touching distance of the teens - it just seems so far away atm :(
 
It was actually 2.5lbs loss...checked on Boots scales before group which are usually spot on but they were 1/2lb heavier - get in!! 20 stone 13 now :) xx

How goes it Lisa?

I've had a shocking couple of weeks...Hubby collapsed twice and needs to have tests to find out why and my little girl has had a cold/cough and now another ear infection. No sleep and time off work has made following the plan difficult. :(

However, I managed to get back to group on Tuesday and I am still 20st13lbs so I managed to maintain even with everything going on! Pay day tomorrow so going out to buy lots of ingredients to get myself back on track.

Thank you for asking and hopefully I will be reporting a 2.5lbs loss at least on Tuesday and my 6.5 stone award :)

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time - well done for not falling back into old habits and using food to get through it. Because when you DO come through it ( which you will ) you'll be so glad you kept to a healthy eating regime

Hubby has the dates for his tests so should know late March at the latest if they find anything which could be causing the blackouts. My little girl has been referred to the ear/nose/throat specialist so fingers crossed her problems will be sorted soon too. At least she is now back to sleeping a full 12 hours again (I know how lucky I am) as the broken sleep was a killer. She's always been a fab sleeper so I got content with the extra time I got in bed haha.

I have tried my best and to be honest, my food has been spot on it's the bad habit of letting myself get hungry and grabbing the wrong stuff (eg biscuits/crisps/chocolate) to tide me over to my next meal which has held me to a maintain. I have bought lots of fruit and stuff that is quick to grab to take the edge off from now on. I have also cut bread out completely.

Back to Zumba on a Sunday morning and I am really enjoying that!

I will get there.
 
It's always a struggle LM, no matter where you are in the journey. I don't think I'll ever kick my compulsion to eat rubbish - I can dampen the urge down but it always pops back up. Makes maintaining .... Difficult!
 
My tip would be - try and up your protein. So, cut bread completely along with pasta ) maybe a bowl of wholewheat stuff if you're desperate ) and snack on shredded roast chicken or quorn slices. Or nice deli ham with some low fat cream cheese. Doesn't give you the sugar high and low of too much fruit but its filling

I'm a newbie here and just popped in to say how amazing your diary is to read - you have got such great focus and determination, I know without a doubt you will get to the weight you want to be!
 
I am using the Paul McKenna hypnotic gastric band, and have been on it for 4 weeks, it has completely changed my relationship with food, and I've lost over 30lb, weigh in due again in 2 days....

I am very obese, but I've never felt this good, and positive, and I truly feel this is it..when I finally gave up smoking 5 years ago, after 50 attempts, I had the same feeling of overwhelming strength.

i hope you hear from me soon, I've a long journey, but little steps will see me thru.

I have cut bread completely, opting for weetabix as my healthy extra on SW for my daily fibre needs. Great tips!

I have managed to lose 1.5lbs this week. Not the 2.5 that I wanted but considering how this week has gone I am very happy! Next week I will be definately smashing through that 6.5 stone loss barrier and have a new sticker up here :) xx
 
lisa thats a great loss after the week you have had amazing loss well done miss miff well done you seem to be in the right mind to do this so good luck
