.Nicki. - time flies.

Come on Nicki,

You know you want to do this...

You know WHY you want to do this...

And I think you know you CAN do this...

So you lost your way a little...it's not the end of the world! It's just a diet, people break their diets every day...big deal! You just start again.

Let's get one thing straight! You're not bringing us down sweetie, when one of us is struggling its up to the rest to try and help :grouphugg: We stick together...share in and applaud each others successes, but offer love and support during difficult times. It's what friends do, especially bestie friends ;)

Maybe it's easier for me. I'm not really struggling with the plan, I find EE very easy to follow, but I do need the motivation I receive on here to see me through each week. What I AM struggling with is my Dads illness (he's going back in the hospice tomorrow btw) This may be a dieting forum, but I've received a lot of genuine messages of concern for both Dads and my welfare. As well as giving some comfort, I'm pretty sure that these have a positive effect on my dieting too.

Much as I'd like to :whoopass: I can't make you carry on Nicki, but I will be really sad if you decide to call it a day. Sad for myself as I feel we've made a great connection and a lovely friendship. But sad for you too, because I know how much you and hubby have riding on the success of this diet.

Lots of love,

Dawn xx

Bestie you are so lovely and I feel so bad moaning about trivial stuff when you're going through so much with your dad. I'm sorry to hear he's going back to the hospice, i hope they've managed to control his pain better.
I put on a lb which all things considering is pretty good, I haven't taken any meds for 3 weeks which would probably explain a lot. Will be on it tomorrow, think i'm going to stick to green days and avoid facebook for a week (been a lot of pregnancy announcments recently)
Hopefully i can lose a few lbs before Boo comes home! x x x

Oh I'm so pleased yr back with us bestie :happy036:

You only put 1 measly little pound on!!! Thats brilliant!!! Hardly worth worrying about really...if you'd had a good s :censored:t before wi you probably wud have sts!!! :8855:

You're not moaning about trivial stuff hun...it's all stuff going on in your life that we're talking about...so that makes it all very important. My problems are no worse or better than yours...just different. xx :hug99:

So are we gonna give this another go then? Hang on...I'll answer that...YES WE ARE!!! :party0019:

You gotta be a fit yummy mummy to little Boo :bunnydance: And I wanna be an Auntie again...my brothers shut up shop in that dept so I'm relying on you hun :fingerscrossed:

How about getting your sw books out and having a good look through. Check minimins out for some nice recipes. I dont know why I'm saying all this...you know what to do! I really think you should involve hubby more too...double the motivation and more support for you! Hubby could have what he wants for brekkie and lunch if he wants, but make your main meal SW food. No need to to do separate meals at all, that should make things a little easier for you xx

And you have already officially joined the Galloping Girlie's Running Team :banana dancer: so that's your exercise sorted!!

Good luck for a fresh start tomorrow bestie,

lots of luv,

Dawn xx

So i'm up super early today and its my day off. Hubby has started snoring very loudly at night because of his chest infection, i politely asked him to sleep in the spare room last night because it only takes a few sleepless nights and i won't be able to sleep at all (i'd sleep in there but i have to have the tv and a fan on to sleep)
Anyway i'm up and dressed, prob a good thing as i hope my birthday present from hubbs arrives today, this ....
gourmet-grape.jpg

I've wanted a filofax for years (mum always had one so it makes me feels growd up) it was on offer and comes with a gourmet card which apparently gets you 2 for 1 meals or upto 50% off the bill on loads of resturants. I'm terrible with diaries and stationary in general i buy tons, if i make a mistake it gets put aside so i have to be dead careful not to make mistakes.
Oh i have a secret as hubby is turning 30 in June and is refusing to let me get him a present so i'm throwing a surprise party instead, i managed to speak to his mum about it (a feet in itself) she's going to take me food shopping and help me pay for it, which is good cos i'm skintola! I've ordered the invites and they cost a massive £0 got to love vista print. I'm a little worried people won't turn up so its in our back garden, will do a bbq or something. Not sure how long it will stay a surprise though.

Wow! Someones buzzing today!

Great idea for hubbys bday pressie! He will love a party I'm sure! That's exactly the type of do I like. When we have a family get together, we always have it at our house cos we got a bit more room, and I just LOVE doing all the preparation and food! It's so exciting. I'm glad u have some help tho as its blooming hard work!

Have a lovely day bestie xx

P.S. love the filofax xx

Bare with me i think i'm in shock,
This morning Steve yelled from the kitchen if he could have some of my stuff from the fridge, he came out with a box of cold pasta, chicken, ham and coleslaw and a bottle of squash :faint2: first i thought it was for me but apparently he wants to give it a go before he joins. I'm a little shell shocked, was not expecting that this morning. :rotflmao:

OMG! Yes! Good man! Now u know wot the trick is! Leave plenty of lovely sw food in the fridge to tempt him wiv! And ever so slowly STOP buying the bad stuff lol!
And tell him how pleased u r that he's decided to giv it a go, that not only will he look and feel better, but it will hav a hugely positive effect on u too!
Ooh...this could make all the difference hun xx

Just had a phone call from him saying lunch was nice but a bit warm, did point out leaving it in the car is prob not the best of ideas. Guess lunch ideas are sorted, he was asking about group last night and looking through my books he seems to be getting the sw bug!
My filofax came today and is luuuussh, filling it out now although i should be doing my course, better speed up!

Lol! Men eh? Who'd hav thought that leaving your lunch in a hot car wud warm it up eh? PMSL!
I think he mite go to group with u next week ... xx

I know, i mean the thought never crossed my mind :rotflmao: i've put the ice blocks in the freezer for tomorrow.
I really hope he does but i think it'll be the week after as he will have been paid.
I've been good today done some course work, filled in my new toy, planned more party, taken meds, on track plan wise not done the housework though :slap: oh well.
My front room is looking a little full as hubbs went and got my bargain yesterday, a round black glass table, 4 chairs (with there labels) all for £36. Now we need to take a sofa upstairs, we have a 7fter and a 6fter which were great in out massive flat not so much in a house with a smallish front room. But we can put a sofa upstairs in the misc room and it'll all be good.
Yesterday i felt something on my lip, it was swelling thought it might be a coldsore but last night it looked like a blister (like you get when your shoe rubs) i squeezed it because the pressure was immense and got all the liquid out (sorry tmi) and now it just look weird and yellow, now my glands have swollen so i'm fairly sure i have another abscess, wonderful just what my fat, spotty, weirdly shaped, unlevel eyed face needs :sigh2:

Oh dear...and it was all going so well too xx

Shame about the abscess bestie  Sounds really nasty. Do you think you've been stressing a bit and got run down?

Apart from that, it looks like everything else is GOOD! :D

I'm really :jelous: of your new table! I keep pointing them out to Gwyn with the odd comment about how nice they are but...nothing! :sigh: Never mind, I'm sure my pine table will come back into fashion...eventually

Really REALLY pleased you're taking your meds and seem to be feeling better for it. You are sounding like the old Nicki now :happy096: If you need em, you need em! Simple as! It's no different to Dad taking his meds. Love hearing you planning and looking ahead hun! Even if you are gonna turn into one of them yuppies with your gorgeous new filofax lol :snooty:

Keep it up sweetie, have a great day tomorrow xx

:fyi: Gorgeous Filofax yes, Yuppie haha think i'm far to common for that!

Feel a bit better although i still can't get back into the habit of having water again. I was fully on plan and even had to have a hifi bar to use some syns. Been bad today though, only had a banana for breakfast and then a yogurt and hifi at about 2pm but i don't tend to eat a lot when i first take meds and in this heat as well my appitite is goooone!

My beautiful blackberry is dying :badmood:not surprising as i've had a fair few serious falls with it in my hand and its been battered. Can't really afford a new one, might try and sell it to envirophone or something while it still 'works' and get a cheap one, but it won't be a blackberry *sob*

Nicki, gotta shoot out now but I got HTC wildfire mob and its brill. Only £20 a month...unlimited everything I think. Gotta go but hav a look at em on internet. Some cheap deals on atm xx

I'd love a HTC, its going to be my next one but i'm in contract for another 11 months (stoopid 2 year contracts) i can get £110 on envirfone for it and i'll get a cheap phone for now and i'll use the money for hubbys birthday.

On diet news i had cheesy chips and beans for tea, YUMMY!

£110 for yr old fone is pretty good...bless you for spending the money on hubby!

How are the preparations going bestie? :bday:

They're not really as i've run out of money but if i can get the decs in the next few weeks then i can save for the food. Should have just got him a playstation, would have been cheaper

ooo last a whole 15mins at work before being allowed home :party0049:Good job too because they started the conservatory a day early but i'm too scared to go out there and speak to them, we've not even emptied it because we were expecting them tomorrow. Now i'm jumpy as hell and very anxious and hubbs is miles away :badmood: not a happy Nicki.
I'm still in 2 minds about the phone, i've kinda backed myself into a corner because i didn't expect things to cost what they do but i've already invited people so can't really cancel but when he finds out that i sold my blackberry for a party he doesn't want he'll go nuts, it does seem to be dying but i could probably get it fixed but £110 is alot of dosh to pass up.
This whole party business has made me realise just how dependent i am on him and i'm starting to hate it, he drives me to work every morning because there are no buses that early from the new house but he gets annoyed that he has to get up a few hours early to drive me. If i need something down the shops he has to drive me when he doesn't want to, which means he rushes me and we end up arguing. I wish i could afford a another bike (moped) been looking at them recently and mentioned it to my parents and brother and last time i turned up round theres, there was a brand spanking new moped which my parents had bought for him
:rant2: i feel a bit upset because they knew i wanted/needed one and we can't afford it. I used to have one in my teens but i moved to be with hubbs and it broke and i couldn't afford to fix it so i sold it. This was when i had a career, some independence, a waistline and before the avalanche of miscarriages, breakdowns, weight gain and debt that has killed any self esteem and confidence i once had!
On the plus side i'm still on plan and my lovely consultant text me last night to make sure i was ok as i've stopped staying to class, said i'd stay monday night but i've just realised there having a party thing which i'm really not up for. Well i'm going to go wallow in self pity!

Blimey its been quiet on here today. I spent the day hiding in my front room with my 2 hifi bars, only went into the kitchen (and loo) when hubbs got home. I haven't done much today other then think about stuff, my head is on over drive and its aching now.

Popping in before bed time...

Sounds like you have lots whirling around in your mind right now....
Just take little steps at a time whilst you regain your confidence, its not easy I know as mine was rock bottom too -to be honest its still not 100% but I can't remember ever feeling as confident as I do now -although sometimes I still fake it ;)
and hubby is my security blanket :p
Is it a BBQ you are planning for hubbies birthday ? if so we can all come up with recipes that you can do whilst still on SW and that hopefully will keep costs down,,,,, sounds like a lovely idea -when I first met hubby I did the same - I sent him up town for some bits n bobs and by the time he got back there were banners, balloons and all the family poised ready for a BBQ -he never celebrated his birthday even as a kid  so he was gob smacked and Im sure your lovely hubby will be the same....

Right just a quick one as Im off to bed ... hope you have a good weekend my lovely and keep smiling .......

Yeah planning a bbq, he hasn't celebrated a birthday since his 21st when none of his friends turned up to his party. Hoping this one is slightly more successful but we shall soon see.

Went on a bike ride with hubbs last night didn't get very far though but i suppose a little is better then nothing. Officially been on plan all week now, hopefully i can keep it going over the weekend which seems to be where i slip up, i'm working though so that should keep me on the straight and narrow. I want to go out somewhere today but there doing the conservatory today and hubbs doesn't want to leave the house, although i don't think we have much to worry about, the guy doing it is the brother of the home owner and they're all friends with my in laws. My little furbaby (cat) is not very happy about the noise and being locked out of the front room :character00100: she's such a cutie.
