Yay!! Another 2 lbs, despite a planned cheat last Thursday, and my star week is just starting today. I have been terrible with my water intake too, but am happy to see the scale shifting.
Last Thursday, I went for sushi. I'd been wanting it for months, and so I wanted to use it as a bit of a test. I planned it out, we went and ate lots, but I didn't have dessert, and I kept the "cheat" in a brief time frame (all within 45 minutes... this is supposed to help the blood sugar from spiking too badly and knocking me out of ketosis). And I was adamant that I would be back on plan as soon as I left the restaurant. I had a massive headache that night, but seemed to stay in ketosis the next day and it didn't set me off on a carb binge. It was so different than having carbs foisted upon me by someone else... it was my choice, my plan, and I did it, and I will take responsibility if it all goes pear-shaped and sets off a chocolate binge. But it didn't, and I was okay!
I enjoyed it, but to be honest, it really made me feel more comitted. I'm happy to have something like sushi once and a while, but I'm okay with how I'm eating right now and really hope to keep it up. Am a little scared about how to add more carbs to my diet as I get closer to goal weight... it's such a fine line! I'll definately be here for more advice in that area.
Great losses so far, everyone! Tristar, don't worry, you'll be back on track soon. Lets all band together and keep everyone up, okay?
