I don't believe it. My 9 year old came flying into the house at about 8pm..."mum, mum, M is screaming he has hurt himself QUICKKKKKKK"

Off I go mumbling under my breath...M is 17 next month...

He sure as hell has hurt himself...one bloke was on the phone to an ambulance, neighbour is cradling him in her arms, kids racing to the main road to direct the ambulance in...

8 men needed to lift him over the fence surrounding the area he was in and his kneecap round the other side of his leg.

Arghhh.........he has a huge brace on and is on crutches, got to take him back on Weds AM, we are flying on SAt morning on holiday....I can't bloody believe it.

Serves me right for being all excited and printing out all my holiday info earlier tonight!

Pass the cake someone...

What a nightmare!!

Hope your son is better soon.

Don't reach for the cake though, that'll just turn a crisis into a tragedy!

At least if you can get through this without reaching for food, then afterwards there will be a silver lining to look back on!
