one question thats really bugging me about ketosis

    This has been bugging me for a while, and maybe I'm wrong so correct me guys:) With exante TS your body is meant to go into ketosis right? but doesn't this happen when your body has no intake of carbs? The bars, shakes and soups have carbs/sugar, so how does this able our body to go into ketosis? confused

    You go into ketosis when you're having no or very very low carb intake. The shakes have carbs but are low enough not to affect ketosis

    It is generally said in the low carb world of dieting that having less than 50-60g of carbs per day will keep you in ketosis.

    Oh i see thanks guys for the inlight. I always thought your body had to be on a NO sugar diet to reach ketosis, as i know with Atkins you just have protein and most veg is even eliminated for the 1st phase and only things like cream, cheese, meat are allowed and i know they have no sugar. With exante I couldn't understand how u went into ketosis if it had sugar but now i understand its possible to go into ketosis as long as the carb intake is low, this I didn't know.

    Another misconception about Atkins......you can and do have to have veg on it, even in the first stage. Infact, most of your carb intake comes from the veg. You have 20g of carbs daily to start with and that's a lot of veg, believe me!
    I know people think Atkins is just protein and not a lot else but it really isn't!
