    Hi everybody

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place but I wasn't quite sure where to shove it. I was just wondering if anyone had been referred to one of these by their gp - how did they get on with it, did you lose much weight, I know being referred to this is the steps to weight loss surgery has anybody actually taken up on this or thinking about it.

    Many thanks all

I did one last year but I asked to be refered. I did well and usually lost 1-2lb a week, I found the diet abit confussing at first though.

A mom at my school is doing this and she loves it! She sees a dietician and has supervised workout sessions to help her improve her fitness without hurting herself! She started just before Xmas at a size 26 and looking tired run down and miserable! Now she's a size 22 (but the clothes look loose to me lol but I'm not the one shopping!!) and positively glowing!! She comes to aqua aerobics twice a week and does weights for toning with her trainer dude. I have no idea what her diet plan is but I will say none of us noticed she was 'dieting' till she started magically shrinking!! Not sure if she's going down the surgical route but I'd imagine they'd be keen to avoid that where possible so it's always worth asking if you can be referred?

    Hey,

Thank you everybody for your replies. I'm really looking forward to hopefully being referred. I've got to have some blood tests first which I assume is to check for diabetes high cholesterol triglycerides etc. Which have normally being perfect despite my weight. Obviously weight loss surgery isn't ideal but with a diagnosis of PCOS I already know that loosing the weight and keeping it off is going to be a major problem and when my mum has had weight loss surgery two years ago and I am very like my mum in many ways I have to be realistic that it may be an actual option to me. But hopefully loosing the weight to get into a constant exercise regime will be the push I need to get the weight off

    thanks all again,

    Lizzie xxx
