recipe for the fat free cake please....looks good :)

I only use 1/3 of the mix below as it makes enough for me for only 3 syns lol

fat free cake. 9 syns whole thing (makes BIG cake)
6 eggs
2 ounce's self raising flour
8/9 tablespoons granulated sweetener
2 teaspoons almond flavouring

Whisk up egg whites until stiff
Then in a separtae bowl beat egg yolks with almond flavouring & sweetener, add a 1/4 of the egg white & beat until pale yellow.

Add the flour gradually & fold into the mix carefully, when done add the rest of the egg whites & fold in.

then pour mixture into your tin & bake in the over on 180/gas 4 for about 10 to 12 mins, or until golden & firm to the touch.

Then cut into slices add whatever jam u have in and some spray cream if not quark will work just as well

Furrystomper - Thanks for the recipe, What are your natchos made of - as they appear to be free :)

They are the lassange sheet ones.... i know some will say they aint free as its "food abuse" but i only ever have them with chilli every once in a while and they dont affect my loss's so i never syn them :)

Recipe is in July mag. pg 53. Wonder if they work without the apricots, don't appeal to me with fruit in, and what the syn value would be.

Its funny you say this because i thought exactly the same may try them tonight without the fruit and will let you know. But if someone can help with what syns it would be without the apricots that would be great.

some yummy foods I made over the last couple of days. After being major busy and going off track (thankfully though I never gained, I managed to STS)

Sorry, don't have a piccie, but recently made a "diane" sauce to go over steak. Fry some onions, garlic and loads of mushrooms in fry light and then add some squares of the new blue cheese squares by The Laughing Cow. Can't remember if you get 4 or 5 squares for a HEA, but if you don't have an A box left, they are 1 1/2 syns each.
Spread the finished mix over steak or chicken. It's gorgeous!!
