Pregnancy and Slimming World

Hello

Im Jodie, mum to James who is 3, and am 5+3 pregnant with my second!
I joined SW 9 weeks ago and have lost 9lb to date. I put on 2.5stone with my son, lost it, then regained it plus more :-(

I have not been to group for 2 weeks as all i keep doing is eating, and i really need to get back onto the plan! Is anyone else early on in pregnancy, or has anyone followed sw whilst pregnant that can offer words of encouragement?

Thanks xxx

Hi All

Sorry i have been quiet just not happy at the moment.

Baby is well and truly happy where she is, i am now term plus 10 days :-( induction booked for Sunday at 9am where i will be 42 weeks...got to call that morning for a available bed so not even guaranteed tp have her Sunday it may be more Monday if they are full.

Midwife today has attempted second sweep but can't reach it said it tipped back and to the left?? But what she feels is thin and seems. As u know i have been having contractions for weeks on and off and yesterday i thought "this is it" woke up several times in the night with the strongest contractions to date but was adamant was going to sleep so did fall back asleep only to wake up again with contraction also had a show but yet again during the morning/day they have died off...seems to be a nightly thing, anytime after 6am i start getting mild period pains that increases and then come morning its gone! So frustrating! Spent all day yesterday crying and 15 minutes in my midwife appointment today in floods on tears....not just teary....proper meltdown hysterical tears! How embarrassing :-(

Ooh and welcome Jodie you the group you will get lots of support here ;-) x

Hi hunny, im 7+6 at the moment been doing sw for a year. Had my son 14 months ago and lost the 1.5 stone I gained in pregnancy within a week of having him somehow then joined sw and lost another 3.5 stone since then (was 4 stone but have gained half a stone back). Im finding it hard to stick to plan as craving lots of junk food and only thing that helps the constant nausea is eating constantly. I get married in 7 weeks so worried my dress wont fit on the day! :( xx

Hiya and welcome Jodie x
I am pregnant with number number 4 and this is the only pregnancy i have followed sw on and off. I have gained weight but not as much as i would have gained if i hadnt followed sw at all. At 39+1 weeks i have a gain of over 2 stones at beginning pregnancy weight and a over 3 stones at lowest pregnancy weight as i lost some weight at the beginning. If i wasnt following sw on and off i could easily have another 2st on top! My advice for following sw during pregnancy is take 1 day at a time, there will be days where your on and others where your not but atleast some days on plan will minimise pregnancy gain x

Last night was dreadful, absoutely baking and hardly slept. Today is much nicer with the breeze. Found out today that charles can have 15hrs time at nursery in September when he is 2yrs which is great as it will help with his speech and socialising.

Anyone else have anxiety/fear over not shifting the weight when baby is born?

Yea Charles will love it, my daughter has got a lot of confidence from her nursery and a lot of mouth lol! Plus my oldest likes to teach her sister who will be starting nursery in september all the little things she learns like her nursery rhymes so i can imagine Charles once he gets into nursery will be teaching his baby brother a thing or 2 xxx
I dont so much as have anxiety/fear over losing baby weight but there is a worry there. I know i will lose it eventually (unless there is another surprise pregnancy!!!) but its how long it will take me to get back into losing weight mind frame. I also will not be able to go to the same group/time every week because of my husbands shifts so thats a major stress on my mind right now as i dont feel like i belong to a group and i know i cant do it alone so will have to see what happens after baby is here x

Morning all....oops, afternoon. I'm trying to take it easy today. Even with factor 50 in the shade I've burnt my shoukders and my back (wobbly bits I probably couldn't reach at side of my top). My pelvis has gone completely and I'm in agony. Kids didn't sleep well last night so tried bringing eldest in to my bed under the fan but she kicked the tripe out of me so out she went in the early hours.

No sun here today so we've munched our breakfast on the deck. Need to run errands soon but not looking forward to driving the hire car. I've avoided it so far.

Hope it's a good day where you all are xo
Aww hun i hope your day has gone better and boo to the pelvis pain. Do you have that support belt that might help a bit. My son like to kick the tripe out of me everynight (cant get him out of my bed) so i can symphathise xxx

Thanks Hun good to know I'm not on my own with the food situation! I've been getting up with poppy and eating biscuits etc! So Ive stopped that now, she feeds every 2 hours through the day but likes her sleep so it's every 3-4 through the night! Can't wait to take her shopping when she's older. :) hehe my oh is going to run ragged with me and poppy! I'm really struggling with this heat I've got poppy stripped down to her vest she's dripping poor thing! My pregnancy was a good one it was really easy until I reached 7 months then it got tougher!!! But yeah your right some people have a really hard time!!!! Awww hope you all have a good midwife apt on Thursday should be fun :) god trying to get Poppy's wind up is a nightmare at times, poor little thing keeps getting hiccups!! Once you've had little lady there is a new mums losing weight section on here too on here there is only 3 of us so far but all off this forum so you'll know them :)

Lol your oh gonna be like "what! this little thing cost how much?" Its cooled down a lot so hope you and Poppy had a better day today in terms of heat. Hopefully my hubby will be leaving work early tomorrow as he got his training days muddled up so wont be taking the army in with me thank god lol. For Poppy's wind try gripe water or dentinox these 2 really worked for bringing up wind especially the gripewater. Lol not long now for me to join you on the forum xxx

Umm probably in the attic as I thought that was the last one with ds. It never helped me before though. Couldn't cope in the heat with one at mo. The kids (& us) are supposed to be camping in the garden tonight! Hopefully they don't last past my bedtime cause I don't think I could cope on the ground all night! It's all part of our summer fun though :)

Thanks for the replys I am ready to try getting back onto it tomorrow. Planning on scrambled egg and beans and quorn sausages for breakfast, pasta tuna sweet corn for lunch and maybe quorn chilli or spag Bol for dinner. Does that sound ok do u think xxx

Camping how fun for the children but hopefully they wont last and you can get into your bed. The support belt didnt work for me either as my pelvis was really bad in my first 2 pregnancies. Got to the point that even standing or sitting in the wrong way set them off. I used to stuff pillows around me at bedtime which used to give me some relief until i needed to turn over! x

That all sounds fine x
Don't forget you get 2 hex a and b when your pregnant which i found helped me stay on plan on days i was on plan xxx

I feel ill :-( we're still in the tent. Kids and OH asleep but I'm wide awake. Can't get comfy. I needed to pee so got all wet from dew trying to get out. Ive got the outer zip stuck trying to get back in.

Hope your appointment goes well today :) our health visitor has said not to use gripe water coz she's too young but she's officially 39wks tomorrow so not that young! Poppy is in tears it's the second morning in a row that she's screaming the house down straining like crazy so it's either wind or constipation but there is little bits of poo in her nappies not as much as there was though! I think this gear doesn't help them I've been giving her a little cooled boiled water and tried it with a dash of orange juice! Nothing seems to settle her until about mid day!! Arghhhh x

Hey Guys

I am looking for some advice sorry in advance for tmi but I have one very sore nipple. Any suggestions of what I can do?

Would very much appreciate any advice x

All is well. Babycake is sooo cute and so wriggly. Feeling a lot better now.

I hope you're all well, my phone internet is on the blink so I have to get on the laptop which doesn't happen that often.
