Hi, sorry for another question!!!

I can't see rice on my list of HEb's for a red day. It's basmati, cooked fresh. Do I have to syn it??

This is very hard work when you're trying to get it absolutely correct LOL

Thank-you

hi hon no its not a hex b so you would need to syn it or if you are ok with only having one hexa and one hex b why not try an extra easy day as its free then

Ah Yes! I could call my day extra easy, I've only had milk & 2 sl wm bread (400g). Good job I didn't think of that earlier or I'd have had loads of rice. I only had a little spoonful as I wasn't sure what it was!!

It's very confusing, as surely rice is the same as pasta & potatoes & they're a HEB on red.

I'm seeing why I didn't lose much before now!!

Thank-you

If you've already had milk and bread then you've used your healthy extras for the day. Could you sin one of those instead?

There's not enough fibre in the rice, even brown rice, for it to count as a HEB. Have you seen how much wholemeal pasta you can have as a HEB? - blink and you'll miss it :D Really not worthwhile having!
