Say No to junk food and Yes to healthier food!

Foodwise been much better but not worrying till I get back.

Pumpkin carving has relaxed me and everyone at work had made a great effort.

As for mil the house is none of her business. I've tidyed loads yesterday but need to concentrate on packing tonight. Ultimately I'm worrying about something I can't change.

Excitied for Glasgow!

Going to a concert to see black stone cherry. Never been to a concert before so very excited. It's on Sunday but we going tomorrow to get some time in Glasgow.

Packing started!

Not much packing left as some can be done on morning. Gonna be a busy morning till we on the train.

Hope you have a fab time in Glasgow!

Your MIL sounds very much like my own mother. Impossible standards and just making herself miserable in the process. I bought two Countryfile calendars, as advertised on the BBC programme. There`s some lovely animal photos. Did I get a thank you? No! Her only comment was " I don`t like mice and frogs".

I`ve got to the stage where I say what I think. I just told her they were only pictures and they wouldn`t start running around the kitchen. I also said that if she didn`t want the calendar I`d take it away. She hid it behind her back like a child saying no! no! I like it!

She`s the same as your MIL regarding cleaning. I just tell her it`s my home and I`ve got better things to do with my life that spend 10 hours a day cleaning. I`ve not caught anything nasty and she needn`t be afraid to have a cup of tea at my place. Even if I did spend 10 hours a day cleaning she`d still find something wrong. Definitely a glass half empty person.

What I`m trying to say is it sounds like your MIL will never be happy, just like my mum. I`m afraid you have to be a bit thick skinned with them as they`ll never change. I spent most of my life feeling like I could never do anything to please my mother. She made me feel like cr*p but if I said anything she`d deny it! I`ve had to accept that she`ll never change and live my life my way.

Sorry for waffling, hope you had a good time!

Thanks for that GrannieAnnie. I know what you mean about her not changing.

Luckly dog stayed over hers and wasn't too much trouble. He was spoilt rotten.

We offered as a thank you for her to go to cinema. Us paying. She turned her nose up when I said it was an animation. She made some excuse about a sofa delivery. Well I tried.

Glasgow was amazing and really enjoyed it.☺

Can't wait to eat healthy again as it was constant eating out.

Making my own food for work tomorrow.

Sounds perfect! Lots of eating. .my fave!lol
Her loss if she didn't want to go with you to cinema. Glad you had a good time away any way and your dog also had a good time!

Lunch
Tuna melt wholemeal toastie with salad cucumber tomatoes and lettuce

Snacks galia melon

Tea

Something with lean mince

Today is going well Foodwise. Bad news is boiler is faulty. So looking at solutions via energy trust. Can't afford a new one outright so looking for a one to pay in installments.

Doesn't look good for saving for a honeymoon then

Also while in Glasgow walked so much that strained my foot. So limping at the minute.

Can you pay for a honeymoon any other way? I know loans/credit cards aren't ideal but they could be an okay temporary measure if you're sensible with money!

What sort of honeymoon are you wanting?

xxxx

and so glad you enjoyed Glasgow :D worth the limp I'm sure xxxx

Definitely worth it!

Oh been speaking to energy trust today. There are grants and loans available but some are near to run out and not a guarantee. I'm over the earnings threshold for a lot of them. But my earnings cover both me and my OH. Doesn't seem fair that people on benefits can get it all paid for on a scheme. When I could have less than them monthly. But I'll not rant as I know most are genuine. I'll speak to my energy company this week to discuss an energy loan.

The boiler is on now but very temperamental. Just have to wait and see.

Will get some money from relatives towards honeymoon so we may be able to have a week away somewhere. Just have to see how much. I'd do a coach trip if I have to!

I'm so organised and it kills me I can't book anything but can't book it of can't pay.

Hopefully you can get help with the boiler. Especially with the weather turning. And I agree about people getting all for nothung! When people work 5+ days a week and still get no help what soever!!

Coach trips are still good! All part of the experience I think. Look out for deals on ' wow cher' or 'group on' type pages. They can be quite good deals!

Thanks hun. Will keep an eye out x

STS for me. Quite pleased as away at Glasgow at weekend. Octobers been a slow weight loss month but Novembers gonna be much better as no birthdays or time away.

Roll on for a fab loss next week. Also restarted using my dynamo smart watch pedometer so trying to get some steps in!

Foodwise been ok but I've had too much bready things. Had plenty superfree so hopefully balanced things.

Gas fitter let us down and didn't show up.

Heating is on but tends to go out after an hour. But at least it keeps the edge off.

Hitting the shop tonight for a Last minute birthday pressie. So may get some steps in. Really wanna hit my 10000 min.

So annoying when services let you down like that! I'm yet to reach this elusive 10,000 steps even with a 5k run! I think it's mainly because I record it on my mobile and don't carry my mobile on me as I walk about work! Plus office job .... xxxx
