Happy days, didnt realise these were free!!!! I love them Scratch my breadcrumbs for fish tonight, gonna use one of these and then have a pitta toasted later as my HEb! :flirt2:
they are a small packet of seasoning for chicken, beef, pork or fish. Asda had them on offer couple weeks ago and I bought some then didnt think I could use them!!!
Hi, don't suppose you know if their sachets of sauces and seasonings are free or how many syns they are. I mean the sachets of lamb casserole or shepherds pie, chicken chasseur etc. I realise the cheese sauces etc will be because of the milk but was wondering about the casserole ones which you just add water. Only i really like casseroles and hot pots in the winter, i'm a comfort food girl!
Thankyou very much Fallen angel, you have just made my day! Don't suppose anyone knows of any good jars of sauces for pasta or curry etc, pushing my luck i know but sometimes i need a real quick dinner and if i could chuck a jar of sauce over some chicken or quorn or pasta it would be great.
According to the Schwartz website the Shotz are just mixes of spices and herbs which would all be free anyway. Some have a little bit of sugar, one has a bit of vegetable oil, but in insignificant amounts.
Calorie count for the ones I looked at were between 7 and 10 per serving.
lupuscows - jars are terrible - average of about 16-20 syns. I batch cook pasta sauces etc and freeze them - these can be defrostd quickly on the hob then used
I also batch cook chilli's and various curry's (quorn/beef/chicken)
