Hi it's my second time around and I'm on day 10 and down 7 lbs. I think I'm doing better this time because the last attempt ( back in May ) I really fought it. I kept thinking of what I couldn't do , and ways to cheat . This time I've just surrendered to it , and I'm just accepting I'm not eating. I know it's gonna take a while and I'm just taking one day at a time. It's still just as hard but I've kinda just given in to LT !

Someone told me that your brain will make you think about food as we are programmed to eat regularly, however once you accept that you can't die in a matter of days through not eating then you can move on and forget about food. After all we are being maintained with what we need, it's just suddenly finding all this spare time on yours hands that we usually spend eating that's overwhelming.

^^ Exactly. It's habits formed by the big proportion of time that food takes up - planning what to have, shopping, preparing, cooking, eating, washing up that sends the "food" signals sometimes.

when that's replaced by the actions of just swishing some powder around a blender and rinsing the blender, well...that's a big change...

I'm 19stone. I started 5 days ago, but everyday apart from yesterday I've only managed to get to lunch time & then given up. Yesterday was the first full day that I've done, so officially this is day 2 and yippee! I'm still focused. This site has been a major help, in fact every time I've thought about giving in I've come on here & have just been motivated.

It really is mind over matter & thinking about the end result. For me it's just being able to go out with friends & not worry about what people will think. I've added on 5 stone very quickly, and I hadn't realised how much impact the weight gain has had on my confidence. I've recently realised how much I've avoided going out and socialising since I added on my weight. I even missed my graduation ceremony recently because I didn't want people to see me.

I would say no matter how long it takes keep coming on this site & keep thinking about your goal. From reading other peoples posts it's not easy, but the results are inspiring & people have some good losses very quickly. Good luck xx

I don't know if anyone can answer this, but can I count my tea and coffee as my water intake, or do I still have to drink 3ltrs? Thanks x

I'm on day 6 and finding it really tough. Its my second time - I lost 16 kg last year but didnt maintain and gaint it all back plus some more.
Would love to buddy up with some one for daily support.

I try to post on here daily so you guys are welcome to use me for support if you like. I don't sugar coat things and will tell you as it is, but at least you know I'm not just feeding you (excuse the pun) rubbish to make you feel better. If you need a kick up the arse then I'm here.

As for worrying about what people think when you go out if you are on the LT lifestyle then don't. This is the second week I've been sat in a pub drinking water at a table with 7 other people who are all eating and I me only one not. If anything I seem to be inspiring others as one has since signed up and 2 others have asked me about LT. So remember, you never know who you might be being a role model too when you succeed at this.

Fair play to ya for getting through the second day, it is so hard!!!!!!! The first week for me was the hardest but once I got my first weigh-in results I was just so happy I knew I'd stick to it!! Im on my 8th week now and I lost 2 stone by week 6! The best advice I can give you is stick to it 100%!!!!!!!!
My daily intake is this:
Wake up - Vanilla shake with 2 canderell tablets, spoon of coffee, fill shaker to 600 mls water, add LOADS of ice!!! (this one is my fav)
Drink 1 pint of water after this
From 'breakfast to lunch' I'll drink a litre bottle of water.
Lunch - Chocolate shake with 2 canderell tablets, teabag of peppermint tea (makes a nice mint choc chip), 600 mls water, and loads of ice!!!!
Afternoon slump - Black coffee with 2 cancereell tablets
(From lunch until Dinner I'll drink another 1 litre bottle of water)
Dinner - Chicken soup with about 200-250mls water, plenty of pepper!
Drink 1 pint of water with this

I'm a nurse so I always carry a bottle of water in my pocket when on the wards (weighs me down haha). I buy a bottle of evian still water every morning before getting on my bus and then just top it up with cold tap water throughout the day).

Like I said, I stick to thsi diet 100%, I dont follow the whole 'he said, she said' around bending the rules. This is a Total Food Replacement and the rules are pretty simple - nothing apart from these shakes, plain water, black coffee, black tea, peppermint tea. I hope this is helpful in some way xxx

hi Panda :) how are you finding it today?, should be nearly in ketosis now and getting easier. I started about a stone less that you 8 weeks ago and at 16 and a half now...if i can do it, anyone can! I am goign to do it in 2 stages, i am refeeding for the month of December and then back again in January for another couple of stone! xx

Hi everyone, nearly another day done! ??How's everyone getting on? I read a post on here on different ways to make the shakes and tried making the chocolate flavour with a few teaspoons of coffee, canderel & hot water. It wasn't bad at all.

I know people suffer with headaches in the first few days, but wondered if anyone has found that they're terribly cold when they start. I've been at home with the heating on, but have been freezing to the point of shivering. It's either an effect of the lipotrim or I'm coming down with something. Just wondered x

Yes it can make you cold, so don't panic, it's normal. Apparently your body starts putting its energy into other things rather than heating so you feel colder.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow nights shake when I'm going to make a chocolate orange drink using the S&S orange water flavouring. I forgot to try it tonight like a plonker after getting so impatient over the weekend for my delivery, I got so excited I forgot to use the stuff!

Omg I've just made my last shake of the day, my chocolate one, and filled my blender with ice, topped it up with water, added a teaspoon of fibre, a teaspoon of orange flavouring and my chocolate shake and it is sooooooo nice. It's like eating Terry's chocolate orange ice cream.

Lol It's nice to hear that someone's so enthusiastic about drinking a shake. Trying it is a must then? Where can I get the orange flavouring?

Slim & Save. I just rang them up on the number in their website and they told me if I ordered 3 I could have them for £9.99 otherwise they were £4.99 each, or order 2 of the same flavour and they come down to £3.99 each. There is a delivery charge of a few quid so worth buying a few and making it worth it, but it's next day delivery apart from weekends.
