Too right! I have already been eyeballing the cheese section at the supermarket! :)

Well done for not losing the plot when the scales went wild... 4lbs to go and then Conso! Yay

ERG! Another lovely weekend... another disappointment on the scales... 10st 4.2

Again I slip with the alcohol over the weekend. Beers, wine and rum. Food was perfect, if a little salty (lots of seafood), but in general perfect. The alcohol is doing me in! In addition, I really didn't do too much exercise last week. I REALLY want to shake these last 4lbs.
Here's the plan:

1. Perfect eating
2. Daily exercise
3. No blooming alcohol!

The Boyfriend is coming next Friday, and I wanted to be in Consol for that weekend. It's unlikely that I will make it now, but let's cross out fingers for 10st 2lbs. I can do this, I know I can!!

I don't want to sound too negative, I really did have a lovely weekend of sunbathing and swimming, and we went to a great restaurant on Saturday night, where I wore my Favourite Dress :) It's by Stella Atal, a Ugandan Fashion Designer, and it hasn't fit for so long. One of my friends had a leaving party back in April and I urged her to wear it because, I just wanted to be able to look at it all night even if I couldn't squeeze my body into it! hehe! and now I can wear it! :)
Also, I ordered this Dukantastic Masterpiece, which I thought you might enjoy!
Squid, stuffed with Seafood. Yes. Delicious.

Okay, here comes another week!

Also, new brunch place opened round the corner to my house... looks Dukan friendly...
;)

So long as it's a Dukan type galette and not a Brittany crêpe type, you'll be fine! Stay off the beer!! Go for vodka and diet coke if you must :)

Fabulous story about that dress :) Must feel pretty amazing to wear it now!!!

its pretty depressing to see that with perfect food...alcohol makes that all important dent in our losses :( :(

your a pro...you know exactly what to do...follow the rules 100% and Dr. Dukan never let's you down.

Go for it

xxxxx

Mmmm alcohol how I miss you! But to look like you I'll abstain for a few more months! Just keep thinking how far you've come 4lbs is nothing! Xx

Hey guys!

Feeling fabulous! so in the zone right now, the zone doesn't know what hit it!
I've been getting re-aquainted with my old friend, the gym, and really loving it.

Staying off the scales for the time being.

I have a nice lunch date to a salad bar at lunchtime with a lovely friend, and tennis lesson tonight. Everything's coming up Millhouse ;)

Have a brilliant day :)

Nice seafood dish - must be a real bonus to find something on the menu that is compliant with your diet!

Good Morning!!

Erg! work is mega stressful, and everytime I get stressed, I just think about reaching for something to eat - it's really highlighting to me how I put on weight in the first place. But I'm identifying these cravings, and understanding that they are just cravings and not actual hunger, and so I've been able to keep things well under control.

Today is also all about this tea:

I love being the office tea princess. Whenever anyone comes back from a business trip they always bring me weird and wonderful teas! this one is brilliant, strawberry cupcake flavour :) It's from France (Get on it Jo!)

Otherwise, every outfit salvaged from my wardrobe from the "skinny" pile brings back memories. Today I'm wearing my "Star Trek" dress. It's just a 60's style dress from Tescos which I adore, with a strip across the middle like a Star Trek dress. I remember planning to wear it to the South African Freedom Day party at the embassy at the end of April last year, getting home and realising that it didn't even come close to doing up. Today it fits and I feel lovely.

Still no scales, but I went to the gym yesterday and ran 10km this morning :)

Will try to stay of the scales until Monday. I'm planning to be a bit of a hermit this weekend, but I have lots to sort out and many of my friends are away, so it will probably be good to not run around too much.

My house guest leaves today too - I will really miss her, but I will certainly feel freer eating when not in company. I saw her eyeing up my plate of roast chicken, omelette and mustard last night with a puzzled look!

Have a good day :)

That tea looks amazing! I'm drinking a mango and cinnamon one at the moment that is lush although sounds like a really weird mixture.

I can't wait until my slim clothes start to fit it must be the best feeling ever! Going by your diary I reckon you might smash those last 3.5lbs this week. Got everything crossed for you! xxx

10k & the gym & another dress story :) :) you are on fire.....keep the updates coming....loving the feel good factor shelly belly!!!!!

Well done on the exercise that's amazing work! I want to get back to running but can't get my breathing right! Those 3.5lbs will be long gone soon xx

Thanks guys :D:D:D

One of my friends is relocating to the US and I have been helping her out with some of the move logistics. Today we met for lunch and she had bought me a present to say "thank you" - a massive bar of Lindt chocolate... with the caramel bits in! This is a really generous gift as this stuff is all imported here at high rates of taxation.

As soon as I got back to the office I gave it straight to my office mates, who have spent the afternoon devouring it.

It certainly wasn't easy to give it away, but this is definitely a milestone :)

Good girl!!!!!!! Great work & a definite milestone :) I salute your chocolate giving away powers....

xx

You're truly amazing Shelly! I would have kept it... and indeed I have a cupboard in the city and one in the country full of such things!!!

As for the teas, I'm afraid I absolutely detest those flavoured teas. In France, people often offer you a tea and then bring out all the fruit flavours! (and don't boil the water up properly but that's another story). I've learned to drink the odd one under duress but ewwww!

As for rediscovering the clothes, I'm with you there! Some of the things I'm wearing at the moment I've not worn for five years... yet remember clearly when I wore them last etc! It really is motivation to never again grow out of them!!

:)

I looooove flavored teas too :) and I don't boil the water fully either - sorry Jo! :-(

Got some new exotic detox teas this week - aztec chocolate spice mix is delicious!

Can't wait to see a pic of your Star Trek dress, Shelly. And isn't bringing out your skinny clothes just the BEST part about dieting? Probably rates even higher than the compliments.
