Sick of carrying 2 hitchikers, Part 2....1 down 1 to go !!!!!!!

Hello Lily! have caught up again - hard work when diary moves lol :giggle: but hope a fresh start helps you tremendously. sounds like you had a lovely holiday, and the first of many to come. Hope the pain subsides too. :bighug:

Thank you all so much for your lovely comment and support....I just wrote out a long reply to you all and for some reason this silly site has swallowed it up and I really can't be asked to write it all up again sorry.

Just know I am fine, feeling a lot better and determined to get back on track, I really do appreciate all your love and concern, you are some of the loveliest people I have ever known and I am so happy to be able to call you my friends.

My hands and feet are better a long way from being good but less sore and itchy....My next appointment with my specialist is in November but I can ring her anytime if need be.

Stress is the biggest culprit in the flare ups and I have sure had my fair share of that lately lol but I also believe that just coming off the high dose steroid after so many years wasn't exactly the best move but I do understand why my specialist did it and I don't blame her or anyone else.
Having said that I am trying a new natural remedy and it does say that it will get worse before it gets better by bringing all the badness to the surface, :fingerscrossed: and watch this space I'll let you know how I get on and a big thank you to the lovely lovely lady who sent me this remedy through the goodness of her heart.

I did weigh myself earlier and my scales often weigh much the same as they do at group and somehow it seems I may have actually lost this week, my scales say a 4lb loss but I'm not going to celebrate just yet well not till after WI tomorrow, I will be happy with STS but we'll see lol.

I am feeling very very tired and am going to hit the hay early ...have a bath and bed, I just wanted to come and say I was fine and feeling a lot less stressed and am raring to get going again.

Take care all xxx:hug99:xxx

Hi Dizzy and :welcome2: to my diary.....like you I am glad I'm not the only one with psoriasis, it's nice to be able to talk to people who really understand how debilitating it is ....it really does affect your weight losses and gains....Cyclosporin...my Consultant won't even consider putting me on it, I discussed it with her after another friend who had exactly the same form of psoriasis as me was prescribed it and had great results ...but my Consultant says no the side effects outweigh the good, so I guess unless she changes her mind I am not going to get a shot at it....how long have you been on the Cyclosporin? Are you having good results from it ?
I find with all the meds and creams and ointments I have used up till now, that most have good results for a short while but then once my system is used to them they lose the desired effect and I am back to square one...I would be interested to hear what you think of it.
Keep persevering with the weight hun, we will get there...I am on the home stretch as it were , even with about 8st to go I am over half way through my weight loss, we can do it xxx:hug99:xxx

hugs Lily x

Thank you Kally :hug99: back at ya xxx:bighug:xxx

Morning lovelies, had another shorter than I needed sleep last night....My daughters cat has been missing for 2 days and everyone has been panicking, except me...I tried to tell them that's what cats do but they were still at the doors every half hour calling her till 1.30 this morning lol, so I was woken at 5.24 this morning by what sounded like a child like cry of Mummmm...so I get up and everyone is sound asleep still, and I listen and hear nothing, I am about to go back to bed when I hear it again Mummmmm...so I go to the front door...nothing and then I go to the back door...nothing and I am just about to close the door after persuading Chester my dog to get his butt in doors as he is just standing looking at me lol when I hear it again...Mummmmmmmmmmmmm and then there she was running along the back fence, Missy runs in and stands next to her food bowl looking at me as if to say well I did let you know I was on my way, where's my food lol, so she munches down what I give her and trundles off to her bed, by now I am wide awake so going back to bed seems worythless, and then about ten minutes ago I thought yep time for a nap before my Tesco order arrives and just as I am about to climb in bed, guess who starts pestering me for food again :argh: :giggle: so I will be popping off now to have a nap and hope that a certain little madam lets me get 40 winks lol

Have a fab day all xxx:hug99:xxx

Bloody cats lol. Simon cries like a child too the minute he here's a big toe move under the duvet at the crack of dawn!

That sounds great, I am on Neotigisan (Acitretin is the more common name) and while it works, the side effects are absolutely horrendous and I can't take them at the full dose, so between us, me and my C have worked out a dose that seems to keep my flare ups to a minimum, well most of the time anyways lol.
Have a great day hun xxx:hug99:xxx

Just weighed in 4 1/2 lbs lighter !!! Will inspire me for another week
:wow: that's an amazing loss hun :woohoo: well done you :winner:, I weigh in tonight and am hoping for a similar loss :hug99:xxx

V happy . I aim for 2 a week. Iv three stone to loose although consultant says 4 1/2 !!

I too aim for about 2lbs a week, but am happy with any loss in the long run....I think your consultant is way off....if your stats are correct then that would take you down to 10st at 5ft 8ins....I am just under 5ft 8 and I have never been that small ever even when i was a size 10 and 12 many moons ago lol, weight is not important and SW will never push you to set a weight that you're not happy with, for me even though I have set 170lb as my goal weight, I am more interested in my dress size and if I reach 13 stone and I am happy then that's where I will stop xxx
