I used to enjoy having soup - but by the new booklet it doesn't mention the heinz winter broth?? What winter foods can anyone recommend for lunch to warm me up and keep me going for the gym after work..

veg soup. Put any veg you like in a pot with veg stock. Bouillon is nice. Boil up and whizz. Lovely. I love it with butternut squash. Or jsut butter nut sqash soup with 5 spice. Boil and whizz and add 5 spice or curry powder. Chinese. Chinese oxo cybes, pak choi, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, cabbage (any veg really) and prawns, add 5 spice. Soup really is the esiest thing in the world to make. you don'r need a recipe book, just bung in anything tht you think'll go good together. Cauliflower boiled in milk and whizzed is good too. Ass curry poweder if you want. BNS and red pepper. Leek and potato. Onion. All sorts

My slow cooker tends to work overtime in the Winter, I make soups, stews and curries etc, all lovely Winter warming comfort food.

There are some great recipes in the recipes section for some yummy casseroles:

    http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-recipes/106976-beef-butternut-squash-stew.html

    http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-recipes/121307-country-chicken-casserole.html

Im thinking about doing a nice sausage casserole, found out that tesco healthy living low fat pork sausages are 1/2 a syn each on a red day, and the Scwartz classic sausage casserole sachet is 5syns on red or green, but not bad considering it will serve 4 people and you can divide the syns between 4.

Casseroles are great but I do miss dumplings and "winter stodge" but think that im going to try adding things like butter beans etc to bulk them out a bit... yummy :) looking forward to this! :)

Does anybody know of any low syn curry recipes that could be slow cooked for lovely winter warming food? xx
