Sunday Weighers... or is it only me?

What Wii game are you doing babe? Always interested as I have a vast array of fitness DVDs but only recently started doing Wii stuff as a viable alternative. I'm just nosey.
I've been doing "Just Dance"
It's the only one I've got apart from tennis as I'm just borrowing my Mum's Wii haha :D

Kwise I as sat here positively dribbling at the sight of your eggs and choccy bunny, they look fab-food porn at its best :D Your little gain was probably due to the volume of food and the time that you ate-the first gain is always the hardest. But its not the end of the world, and after a few days you'll forget how peed off you were -promise

Woodland Girl - hope the scales decide which way they are going to go tomorrow - obviously downward :p

Congrats Rayven on your 1 stone sticky :D

Wow Honey - thats fab, and if my maths doesnt decieve me, its only another .5 until you get your 5 and half stone non shiney - woohoooo

Hi dizzydawnie - I think that maybe you were expecting a little gain after you said you were planning to have a 100% week this week. Sometimes a little gain can give your motivation a bit of a boost - it does me. Good luck with your 100% week :)

Sausage :D the hula hoop queen, does it work on the little paunchy bit? As that is my worst area . At least it wasnt a gain me dears, you had a boozy bbq and maintained so its not all bad :)

Congrats on your loss Why_D, back to your losing ways I see :D

Wow Sarah, a fabby loss and your 4 stone shiny - WELL DONE :D

Hi MadMavey - welcome to the sunday gang and congrats on your loss today. We are a friendly bunch on here so dont be a stranger :)

Hi neveragain - congrats on your STS and have a lovely time caravanning in this fabby weather :)

Woohoo Potatogirl - congrats on your loss, I saw your other thread after your sneaky peek panic :p I think you already know by now - if its going to affect you like that, then it isnt worth it.

Congrats on your 4 stone shiny Spanx it is a massive milestone :)

Woohoo the traveler returns -sounds like you had a great time Elaine and to come home with a loss  you must be on cloud nine

Emma- well done on your loss this week - keep it up, you can do it :)

Missus - I totally understand how you feel. I know you must be mightily peed off, I know I would be too. All I can suggest is that you keep it up for another week to give a true refelction to give the changes that you made last week chance to take affect. If you get another 'low' loss next week then I would suggest you change everything - the meals, your HeX, even your syns to try and gee up your metabolism a little bit and to try and keep your body guessing.

Can I ask how many syns your are having? Maybe you need more than the regular 15 - this is something that SW can change ie if you are over a certain weight (dont know what that is tho) then you are permitted more syns

Keep at it Missus - it will sort itself out soon, your body just isnt playing ball at the mo.

Just a quick (((hug))) to Moz, I hope your OH is better now (that seems like such a daft thing to say - but I cant think of a better phrase).

Take care of yourself Moz x

Is that right Smartie? Could I possibly need more syns then?

It is quite right :D Syn totals are at the C's discretion. For the majority of people the 15 a day is fine. But for some people they get offered more which is reduced as they lose weight.

Ahh right! I've never been to class so just assumed 15 but I am pretty heavy so maybe I need more?

If anyone else has an opinion on this I'd be grateful too :D

Not yet. It is multiple c-section chaos down there so not expecting miracles  But I have noticed a smoothing of the bugger lugs, a tightening of the upper tummy muscles (giving the illusion of improved boobage) and a general hoiking in of the waist area.

Emma, I have read of people being allocated more syns if they have more to lose. I have never been to group, so it must have been on here. I know that at Rosemary Conley (and possibly WW?) the more you weigh, the more you eat. This amount reduces as you shrink.

I am going to give it a go then :D My tummy, to put it simply looks like a map of the London Underground thanks to a massive weight gain during my pregnancy :( And i have just noticed some crepeyness starting :cry:so I am at the stage where I need to do something to minimise any loose skin

Thanks again smartie, you are lovely :) OH is pretty much back to normal now, or as normal as he gets :rotflmao: he has these terrible time lapses though and forgets a lot of what has been said. It's causing more hassle this time because a lot of what he is forgetting he has been told is quite important as it is to do with arrangements for his mum's funeral. We'll get through it though!

Had a family bbq round at one of my brother-in-laws houses today while they all prepared the eulogy. Actually, it was all a bit weird, as most of it was written by the spouses rather than by my m-i-l's kids themselves. Little OzMoz is insisting that she has a few words that she wants to say at the service, confident little soul she is. I've said to her that it's fine to prepare something and if she wants to say it, to go right ahead and if she isn't in the mood on the day, then that is fine too!

Meanwhile I have put on weight, I suppose it's no great surprise as I have been eating whatever whenever over the last few weeks. One day I'll eat virtually nothing and the next I'll eat all the wrong things. I'm going to try and be good-ish over the next few days and I'll have a proper weigh-in on Sunday and move on from there! It gives me a few days to undo some of the damage and not feel thoroughly disgusted with myself on Sunday ;) :D

OH had to go into work this afternoon/evening, so I've got a quiet evening ahead with LittleOzMoz, much as I love my OH, I do enjoy spending time alone with her, back to the gruesome twosome, the devilish duo!! .... and we can eat veggie! for my OH if it doesn't have meat in it then it's not a proper dinner!

Hope everyone is having a lovely bank holiday weekend! We have an extra day of holiday here as ANZAC day has coincided with the long weekend, so it's extra long!

Sadly def a small gain : 0.3 lb up :)
I think it is just water as it is week before * and that is when I gain a little. Keep calm and carry on!!!

I'm glad to hear that your OH is feeling better and back to normalish Moz. Little OzMoz is so adorable and strong if she wants to say something at the service. I think she gets her strenght from you. Good luck for your offical Sunday weigh in and no matter what the result you can't be disgusted or disheartened because you've dealt with so much over the last few months :) ((Big hugs to you))

Woodland Girl such a little gain is brilliant when it comes to * star - So don't worry that weight will come off next week.

hey emma yes, the bigger you are the more syns you should have as your body needs the calories and will go into starvation mode otherwise. i posted on here the other week about calorie cycling for the misses and trying to get her to up her syns. i posted a link that lets you work out what you should be consuming and it changes depending on how much exercise you do. from there you can work out how many syns you should be taking. there were a few people in the century club threads who used to talk about how their syn allowance was sometimes up to 30 syns and as the weight comes off you reduce that. i would never recommend anyone with lots of weight to lose to have any less than their 15 syns a day on a regular basis. but cycle it so as to keep the body guessing and have one or two flexi syn days if you're sticking to around 15 syns

1lb off for me :D - another Easter miracle!!! I really did not expect to lose this week but I'm obviously quite pleased. Had 2 meals out in the week - first was at Viva Brazil in Liverpool - so that's a red day!!!! Loads of salad on the plate. I felt really good about having a meal out but not feeling that I was cheating. Saturday night was at friends - everything was good until the dessert came - I've never seen a cake like it - it was about 10" high!!!!! - all chocolatey and gooey but with loads of raspberries in the filling and strawberries and blueberries on the top - so there was only a little guilt with eating that but it was yummy. Yesterday was good - no one bought me chocolate :eek::eek: - wasn't sure if I was happy or sad!!!! but I did have strawberry gateaux in the evening and two Bacardi and cokes so I'm fully expecting to see a gain next week but lifes for living - back in work tonight so back strictly on the plan for a few more days and then I'm off for 10 - now that could be a problem!!!!!
Good luck to everyone this week xxx

Moz - your daughter is such a sweetheart x

Morning all :)

Just trying to plan my week here  Bit skint this week so any meals will have to be from food I have lurking in the freezer and cupboards. Boring!! Don't expect to see me on the tea thread posting "a black banana, a sausage with freezer burn and a can of whiskas." I will just avoid that thread this week ;)

Perhaps an exercise mini-challenge would spice up the week? I will do a half marathon on the cross trainer spread over the week! Only 21km, but when you are as lazy and I am, it is a lot lol Got to do something as my weight loss has been shocking this year

Hope you are all motivated and fired up for the week ahead. Go Sunday Gang!!
:talk017:

Thank you for that info Why_d!

I'm having a fab start to the week so far!
This morning I've done a 3 round challange + 1 extra song on just dance and then to keep my heart rate up I jumped straight on my mini exercise bike for a few minutes and I must say I actually really enjoyed it! It really does give you a buzz and I'm feeling great right now!
Looking forward to a good week and hopefully another loss next sunday.

Thanks for all the support this week peeps. Am feeling a bit better today so will take everyone's advice on board and stick with it.
Did have a takeaway last night, which was disgusting and greasy, so reminded me why I'm definitely sticking to things and not going back! Fingers crossed this "plateau" will bugger off. x

Thats the spirit Missus :D Both Sum and I have had plateaus but we are still both here battling on :) You, like many of us on here are in for a long journey - Both Sum and I have just done over a year now, and if I am being realistic its probably going to take at least until the end of this year to get the rest off.

The highs and lows are all part of the 'journey' its how you deal with the lows, in not letting them dictate the direction you ultimately want to go that signifies a successful dieter. I'll hold my hands up and admit to sulking like a petulant 2 year old when I dont lose, but I get over it. Because at the end of the day, its not really the 1/2/3 etc bad weigh ins that matter - its my total loss and how much it has improved my life and confidence that spurs me on to keep going through the tough times

Well done on your loss Susie-I like the sound of your choccy cake with the strawberries, blueberries and raspeberries. With that amount of superfree on it - it was practically free :D

Sorry about your 0.3 up WG, but as you know that is miniscle, next time exhale deeply when you get on the scales :p Have a fabby week and hope you get your deserved loss next week :D
