Take 2! My New IF Journey

Good day today. Stuck to eating window and stuck to all good foods, i'm very pleased.

I'm taking tomorrow night and New Years Day off plan but have been saving syns for damage limitation. Today i've ordered a new pair of asics running shoes and a new sports bra which i hope will actually provide some support.

Other than that i've done nothing interesting....

Great day! I feel your pain regarding sports bra! I wear 2 at the same time. Will need to get a decent one as I start the 60 day insanity challenge! :) xxx

I've been wearing 2 as well but its so restrictive. I was wearing a normal running shock absorber and then a sports jock crop top running bra over it. It's gives great hold but not much room to breath! Mind you if this new one doesn't work i'll be going back to this method. Its so frustrating. I told the woman in the specialist bra shop what i was doing and she insisted she could sort me out. 2 hours later having tried on so many bra's i'd lost track we still hadn't found one! She eventually gave in. Fingers crossed for this one.

I've treated today as a normal food day so far. I will have overspent on syns by the time the night is over but have saved a few from previous days and will cut back for the rest of the week. Tomorrow morning is my first Parkrun and i'm feeling quite nervous about it.... As soon as Return of the Jedi finishes i will go upstairs and lay out all my clothes so i'm not rushing round tomorrow morning and have no excuse not to go! I've made a Strawberry Cheesecake for this evening and worked it out to be roughly 15 syns a slice! I really need to alter the recipe! Oh well, it is New Years Eve :)

Well 2014 is very nearly upon us. I hope everyone has a fantastic New Year.

Well 2014 is upon us. I really wan this to be the year i get fit and slim... but i've said the same so many times before i'm almost afraid to say it this time.

I'm managed to stick to my window no problem at all so far but foodwise i've not been so good. I'm now in negative syns for the week so fear i won't be losing any weight this week. I'm fine through the day but on an evening i'm failing. I'm already into negative syns this week but to be fair it has been New Year and my OH's birthday so lots of cake and stuff. I have been out for a 3 mile run/walk today so hopefully that should have alleviated a little bit of the damage but still convinced i will have gained. If i've gained again i think i'm going to redo my stats and put my new start date as this Saturday as its frustrating to keep seeing gains. I will also have to get weighed much earlier on a saturday than i normally do as i'm off down to the parkrun and i suspect the change of time will lead to a gain. Especially since i won't have time to empty my bladder probably cos its stupid!

Fingers crossed for Saturday!

In order to keep me on the exercise wagon i have signed up for a virtual challenge. Lands End to John O'Grouts. I have one year in which to cover 605miles. It averages out at about 11miles per week i think which is just less than 2miles per day if taken over 7 days. It cost be just over £26 to sign up but all the proceeds go to Breast Cancer and there is a medal at the end. Miles can be covered walking, running or cycling. Fingers crossed.

Wish I could do running but don't think my body shape is made for it!! :p I have decided to do a million step challenge though and have ordered a fitbit to track my steps. May pester family and friends to sponsor me and give proceeds to charity if I succeed....would certainly be a good motivator. Would be a good start to try and get more active and less of a couch potato. Fingers crossed for your weigh in tomorrow :)

That sounds fantastic and all for a great cause too! Xxx

Very excited. Now just trying to decide if i just add the miles i do for exercise or if i add the miles i do in total on my fitbit... I'm thinking just exercise miles otherwise i'd feel like i was cheating....

Haha i'm still not entirely convinced my body is made for running either. Let me know when you get your Fitbit as i have one too. I'll add you as a friend and then you'll be able to see how little i am doing! I did the 3 mile run/walk yesterday and today my legs are killing me which doesn't bode well for the Parkrun tomorrow. I did a 4/2 split yesterday so think i will be doing a 3/2 split tomorrow and hope i will be okay with that.... Assuming of course that it isn't absolutely pissing down. I don't mind running in the rain but i'm not going to run in torrential rain. My friend is a Parkrun pro having run 50 of them now so she is going to text me in the morning and if she isn't going, i'm not.

It's my first weigh in of the New Year tomorrow and i'm not looking forward to it. Assuming that i am going to be doing the Parkrun on a regular basis i will have to change my WI time to the early morning so that is going to have an impact on my weight. I'm expecting a gain tbh. But i've been very good today and did exercise a little....

Well time for a quick shower and then a cup of Pukka nighttime tea in the hope i won't see 4am again in the morning :(

How did weigh in go?? Did you manage your Parkrun? x

I lost 3lbs!!!! I think there must be something wrong with my scales.... Well i guess i'll find out next week. Parkrun didn't happen unfortunately. When i got up at 7am the weather was fine. By the time 8am came round it was peeing down and blowing a right gale. My friend sent me a text to say she wasn't going as the weather was too bad so i decided not to go either. Not the end of the world. So long as i get there at some point. The next beginners group starts on Thursday so i'll be heading down to the Sweatshop to start that.

Had my usual blow out yesterday but didn't enjoy it as much as i usually do..... May have to re-evaluate my non-dieting day. Anyway back on the wagon today. Good day so far. It's Sunday roast and i refuse to tone down my meals so syns have been spent on Yorkshire Puds, beef dripping and gravy! Yummy. Hopefully i've allowed enough syns for the meals.

Back to work tomorrow.... Just doesn't feel like i've had time off work at all.

Woo hoo 3lbs is fantastic!! :D Shame about the weather but like you say it'll happen, one day isn't going to make a difference. Fitbit should be here within a couple of days and then I'll see just how few steps I take in a day!

I was quite disappointed when i first got my Fitbit as i thought i did loads of walking and it turned out i was wrong! It also starts to get quite addictive watching those steps build up and trying to get those new badges. I've yet to get my 30,000 in a day. But i'm sure that will come when i get into my later stages of marathon training.

Another good day today. I didn't open my window until gone 5pm as i just wasn't hungry. Had a roast lamb dinner with plenty of veg and then had cereals and a banana to finish. Very yummy. Exercise wise i struggled to find the motivation to do some today as i had another bad night so i waited until 2 hours after i'd eaten my tea and i did the 4mile interval session with Lesley Sansone which i found on youtube. It was really good but my computer crashed twice during it so wasn't sweating as much i would have hopped. Oh well. Back to running tomorrow.

I'm taking my Mum out to lunch tomorrow. She wants to go to the Fish and Chio Restuarant near us so i will be testing all my willpower and just having a fish from which i will remove the batter. Hopefully my halo will be shinning through at the end :)

Wow 50000 steps! Not for a while yet i think!

I was awake until stupid o'clock as well and ended up binging on crackers and cheese. Stupid insomnia is really starting to get me down. Tomorrow i have to go into the office which means i will have to be up and out early. Today we went out for fish and chips. I took all the batter off the fish and it was only about half a portion of chips so i've used my syns on them. Well the few i have left after last nights binge! Stupid body clock. Did a 3.5mile run/walk on the treadmill to try out my new trainers. They seem fine. Much lighter than my old pair. Still got a bit of a blister at the side of my big toe which is quite annoying but hopefully that will bugger off soon.

Hoping the exercise will make me tired but i'm not holding my breath. Really just want some sleep! Must also get some low syn treats in for if i want to binge. Some more Mikado sticks maybe?

Great start to the New Year Sarah! I am sure that all your exercise will burn off those crackers & cheese. It's such a pain when you can't sleep though, hope the exercise helps.

Insomnia is a killer :( I occasionally suffer from it and find I have to end up forcing myself to stay awake for 36-48 hours to make my body get back into a normal sleep routine. Impossible to do if you have a busy day though so feel your pain getting through the day with little sleep. x

Not sure i could function at all if i tried to stay awake for 36 - 48 hours! How do you manage? I'm trying to cut out caffeinated coffee after 12pm in the hope that will help. Decaff just isn't as nice!

Hey Emmster. How are you getting on? Yes i'm hoping the exercise will sort all that out. I'll find out on Saturday morning i guess. Fingers crossed.

Today has been okay. Didn't open my window until gone 2.30pm and i've done 3miles brisk walking. My working week is over so i can have a lie in tomorrow but i know i shouldn't as i need to get up early and try and sort out some sort of sleep pattern. I feel slimmer this week and i know this sounds daft but that usually means i've either gained or sts. I have a very odd body.

My new bra has been a complete bust! Pun intended. It's fine round the back but very difficult to do a front fastening bra if your not perky. Once i'd managed to get it done up then was just tonnes of room in the upper section of the cup and it failed the bounce test. So i guess its back to wearing two again. Must remember to stick it back in the post. My new trainers have arrived and they are very cool. Been on the treadmill in them but will be testing them out on the roads tomorrow night when i go back to the Sweatshop for their beginners course take two! Don't know if i will be attempting the parkrun again this week or not. My friend will be out tomorrow night so i'll ask her then. Well she will be out assuming its not peeing down! We'll see.

Hey Sarah,

I'm getting on fine so far thanks. Doing a kind of IF/SW hybrid which works quite well for me (when I stick to it, haha). Exercise-wise, have not done anything, need to sort that out!

Enjoy your day off!

X
