>>> The 2012 Six Stone Challenge Thread <<<

Lol! Love reading your posts Ria, you've got a very creative streak :D

*Blush* Sometimes the random leaks out. I find it hard to control it lol! Thanks xxx

I have just maintained my weight this week, have to say though I am well chuffed as was worried that bank holiday weekend would of had a worse effect on me as had a weekend out with my mates drinking a fair bit of beer, oh and a pizza & a chinese!!
Did get my Bodymagic bronze award though!

Well done t11cky! After the drinkies on bank holiday a maintain is a great result! Must have pulled it back with all that body magic ;) Good on you!

Had an awful weekend, too many social events got the better of me. Had to re-evaluate yesterday and slap myself back on to plan. I think I've probably blown any chance of a loss on Friday but I think this was just the cullmination of a few weeks of getting sloppy, not planning and basically getting away with it. I've been here soooo many times on previous 'campaigns' and this is where I usually give up a revert to my previous behaviour. Not doing that this time because I'm here telling everyone whereas before it was too easy not to go to group thinking I could lose next week and no one would know. That way it wouldn't look like I did anything wrong but, needless to say, it never worked

Upshot is... this forum has taught me it's ok to mess up as long as you get back on the wagon but also when you stop planning it's too easy to kid yourself you're being 100% when you're not. So back to the drawing board for me it is! :sigh:

Hope you all had a good weekend xx

Yes! Don't worry about a little hiccup, just get back on that horse and keep riding Mustang Sally Style! (I may have mixed up my metaphors somewhat... erm..... yeah)

3.5lb down! Happy dance... back down to 14.12 now!

WHAT! WHOOOOT! Wtg mandy! Well deserved hun, and back in a new number on the scale :D I love that feeling :D

Still dreading group.. half an hour to go... I think it's the *****iness I dread more than weigh in actually. There was some hectic drama going on last week due to a change of group arrangements - people so not happy about their day being moved. The *****es united (although I like to think I was a ***** on the side of good, defending the poor Slimming World Manager who came down to announce the plans) and ruined the night for everyone... well... me anyway. Not sure how everyone else felt because I was so peed off with them I stormed out as soon as group was over.

Tonight should be.......

Group drama! Interesting indeed. Good luck with your WI Rial!
I am so delighted to be back in the 14s... felt like I was going round in circles there for a while but now I'm firmly on the straight and narrow.

I have to say I'm so glad you all came back and started posting here again... yay!

Beth- wonderful news.. SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!

T11cky- great news for the sts with the bank holiday food!!

MANDYYYYYYYYYY!!!! if I could kiss you, I would!!! :hug99: Soooo pleased for u hun :))))))) KNEW KNEW KNEW you'd do it this week!!!

Ria- let us know how the class goes tonight xx

Stupid reception!!!!!!! I typed a long post and it's disappeared!!

Oh well.. To summarise then lol

Sarah- we can do this! I'm getting my treadmill delivered tomorrow and going to start doing that, so let's do some walking stuff together to kick start the lossage! :hug99:

Mandy- what kind of stuff dd you used to write about and what's the Irish myth that you mentioned earlier?
I'm gonna do an SE day on Saturday me thinks. I've always wanted to do it but never actually done it. Let's do it!!

Rita you are an amazing artist as writer. I loves just looking at your blog never mind reading it haha
Let us know how class goes x

Rozie, I write a lot of supernatural fiction. I always seem to start the books, get most of the way through and then leave them lol kind of like my dieting record until now!
But this time I'm doing the research first and having a brainstorm and writing down all my ideas and storylines before I start writing and it gets away from me.
The Fae are the Daoine Sidhe, (or fairies!) to non-Irish lol. I did a project on them while in college so I know a fair bit about them, but not nearly enough to fill a book, so I'm going to do a bit more research, get my characters and story sorted and then go hell for leather. I might even send this one away and see if I can get it published. Plus, I've signed up for another hypnotherapy session with a different therapist, who specialises in stage fright and am going to get this fear of performing sorted too.
I've all sorts of balls in the air lately!

3 LBS OFF! WHOOOOOOOOT

That puts me at 4 stone 6 lbs total. Fingers tightly crossed that I'll get my 4 1/2 sticker next week! God I love shiny things.

Rosie: LOL! I don't know any Rita, but there's plenty of Ria to go around *hugs*

Mandy: Were we seperated at birth or something? lol! I'm currently working on an urban fantasy novel (werewolves. I know, yuck, but hoping it'll turn out intriguing at least), and I sing with my husband in a duo.... or I will again... when we get our set sorted out o_O

I hope the hypnotherapy works for you - stage fright is the worst. I used to have it something terrible when I performed as a teenager. I'd get on stage and my throat would just clam up, couldn't speak a word. Don't even know what got me over it, something just seemed to snap one day. I'm one of the lucky ones :/

Anyhow! WHOOOT! Time for profiteroles :D lol!

You're officially re-named Rita!

And hey... my last one was about werewolves... I just ran flat out of ideas on it 3/4 way through. I will go back to it at some stage and finish it. And then the scary part starts....editing.
Apparently my cousin took a video of me singing in that competition a few weeks ago, in which I sound great but am so far away you can't really see me...haha. She's tried uploading it to youtube, to no avail but she's not very computer savvy. We're having a BBQ next week for OH's birthday and to celebrate finishing decorating.... so I'll get it off her then and try myself :D

Sarah I was the same after my surgery. I didn't make it to group that week, and knew I'd have gained anyway, so I thought, "oh it's okay I'll just be really good this week and have a big loss next and nobody will know I gained this week..."

Yeah, that didn't work. I just fell off the wagon completely!

That's exactly what I do! Or should I say DID. I'm not going to like it but Friday morning I'm going to come on here and 'fess up :D

3.5lb down! Happy dance... back down to 14.12 now!

Well done, that's excellent :D

So you two talented ladies can be the thread entertainment committee, lol! Would love to be able to write (and sing for that matter), must be very thereputic. Maybe it's the weight loss making you more confident, hopefully the stagefight will get better too Mandy xx

Cool beans Sarah! What gymming do you do?

Do whatever you normally do and we will set ourselves a target to walk (because that's the only exercise I'll be doing :giggle:

Yes stupid autocorrect! Haha

Sarah... I reckon there'd be a lot of money in a stagefight... hmmmm... there's the entertainment sorted!

Well done on all the loses and maintains :).

I used to do a lot of rowing (indoor, not in a boat or anything :D). I got quite good at it and was, well still am, a member of a vitual rowing team. They have challanges and competitions etc. I really haven't done much in the last year, it just fizzled out which of course led to more weight gain. I've always done a lot of exercise over the years but unfortunately your body does get used to a certain level of activity in terms of weight loss but the real benefit is muscle tone and shape. You can weigh a lot but not look 'fat' if that makes sense. I need to build up slowly so I'm aiming to start with sessions of 20 mins cycling, 15 mins rowing (building to 30 mins) and 15 mins on the threadmill then time permitting, weights work on alternate muscle groups (legs one day, arms and chest, back etc.).Maybe 2-3 times a week. It feels quite ambitious as I type it but I used to do this at least 5 days a week at one time with swimming thrown in too. It's physically possible, I just need to sort my head out. We'll see!

Walking is a very good exercise if you're a bit bigger, I would love to have a treadmill at home. Start off slowly and build up. If you find your shins hurt it can help to put the treadmill on a slight incline, literally the first setting. For fat burning it's best to do longer rather than harder, plodding along but being able to keep going.

Sarah... I reckon there'd be a lot of money in a stagefight... hmmmm... there's the entertainment sorted!

Oops!! :giggle:That might be fun to watch tho, lol :D

Ooh erm... entertainment.... yes... errrm.... *feels the pressure*

how about.......

DANCING BABIES!!!

My baby girl cut all her hair off this morning. Nice. Obviously her big sister left a scissors in the bedroom somewhere and she got her hands on it. It looks awful. She cut most of the top of it off, and all one side of her head is cut close enough it looks shaved. :(

Love it, is that your little one?

Forgot to say well done on your loss, 3lb is amazing :D :D

Hehe nah just a random image off the net. I like looking for funny pictures when I'm bored, cheers me up :D

Thank you :3 Feeling rather flush today... although I have scoffed three hi fi bars for breakfast.. One HEX B And 12 syns... gonna be a tough day to pull back now. But will do my best :)
