I've been sort of doing Slimming World since July and have lost 8lbs which is rubbish compared to alot of you others on here who are doing brilliantly! I only want to lose another 1 - 1 1/2 stone but it's soooo difficult! I don't do much (any) exercise which makes it worse but I thought I'd post my diary on here and see if there is anything I'm doing wrong food-wise so if anyone spots anything let me know please!!:) Here is Monday's menu:

B: 1 x WW bread (1/2 HeB), Beans, Flora x light (1/2 syn)

Snk: 1 x alpen light (1/2 HeB)

L: Pasta, 5 x LC light triangles (HeA), Grapes

D: LF Supernoodles, Quorn escalope (7 syns)

Snk: 28g Mini Weetabix Choc (HeB), Milk (HeA), Banana Custard Mullerlight, Options (2 syns)

I drink de-caf coffee 2 cups a day and the rest of the time is NAS squash with water usually 5/6 medium glasses

Syns for day: 9.5

Yeah thanks Flipflop I'll keep trying! My main problem is I stick with it all week fairly well, and then the weekend happens - Chinese or Pizza Sat night while watching X Factor and usually some choc too oh and wine, Tut Tut!

Tues 16 Sept (Original - prefer Green but trying to vary)

B: 1 x ww bread (1/2 HEB), 2 x eggs, Flora (1/2 syn)

Snk: 1 x Alpen Light Choc Orange (yum!) (1/2 HEB), Grapes

L: 1 x wm roll (HEB), Turkey, 2 x Babybel (HEA), Flora (1/2 syn), Fridge Raiders (2.5 syns), Shape LS Yoghurt, Strawbs

D: Simply Salmon, stir fry veg, mushrooms, Blue Dragon chow mein sauce (3 syns as shared with OH)

Snk: 1 x Quorn egg (1 syn), Mini milky way stars (3.5 syns)

Syns for day: 11 (and other HEA for milk in coffee/tea)

Wednesday 17th September (Green day - yay!)

B: 1 x ww bread (1/2 HEB), beans, 14g cheese (1/2 HEA)

Snk: 1 x Alpen Light (1/2 HEB)

L: Pasta, Passata, 14g cheese (1/2 HEA), Strawbs, Nectarine, Kiwi, Shape LS Yoghurt

D: 250g (3 meals) Lean minced beef (HEB), Quorn mince, Rice, beans, sweetcorn, Schwartz Chilli packet mix (6 syns - will make 3 portions so 2 syns for tonight's meal)

Snk: Mini twister lolly (2.5 syns), Mini maltesers (5.5 syns)

Total Syns: 12

Drinks: 2 x decaf coffee, 1 x tea (milk from 2nd HEA), NAS squash x 3, can of Sprite Zero, 1 x Options (2 Syns)

Thursday 18th September (Mix2Max)

B: Mushroom omelette, Tom K (1 syn)

Snk: Alpen Light (1/2 HEB)

L: Chilli and rice - lean mince (HEB) sauce (2 syns) baked beans sweetcorn chopped toms, Shape LS yoghurt

Snk: 2 x Kiwi, Nectarine, Alpen Light (1/2 HEB)

D: Chicken, Bacon, Cheese (HEA), large mushroom with melted babybel (HEA) :) Tom K (1 syn)

Snk: Toffee Mullerlight/Quark layered with Banana and Mini milky way stars on top (3.5 syns)

Drink: 1 x coffee, NAS squash x 4, 1 x can Fanta Zero, 2 x tea

Syns for day: 7.5

Not sure if anyone reads my diary, but does this look ok for a Mix2Max day anyone, I'm not totally sure I've got the hang of it? Do you think I have too many snacks? :eek:

Friday 19th September (Green day and 'cheat'/WI day!)
Woohoo lost 1.5 lbs this week! Must not put it on again this weekend!

Usually this is where it all goes wrong starting Friday night - Sunday! Going to try flexi-syns this weekend in the hope that I will end up not eating as badly as normal on a weekend. So this week I'm going to try and stick to 25 syns Fri and Sat then back to normal on Sun - wish me luck!! :)

B: 1 x ww bread (1/2 HEB), 1/2 small tin asda beans & sausage (2 syns)

Snk: Alpen Light choc & orange (1/2 HEB)

L: Chow mein mugshot, 6 x Wholegrain crackerbread (HEB), 5 x LC Light triangles (HEA), Nectarine, Kiwi

Snk: Mullerlight Toffee/Quark layered with Banana, Asda cheese curls (3.5 syns)

D: Goodfellas Solo Pepperoni pizza (16 syns), 2 x Babybel (HEA), SW potato wedges with 'Season-All'

Snk: Mini milky way stars (3.5 syns)

Drinks: NAS squash x 4, 1 x coffee, 1 x tea, 1 x can Sprite Zero

Trying to plan for weekend! Must try to eat some fruit and drink enough as I never do at weekends!

Saturday Green (aiming for 25 syns)
B: 1 x ww bread (1/2 HEB), 1/2 sml tin Asda beans & sausage (2 syns)

L: Pasta n sauce cheese n broc (1/2 HEA milk), 2 x Quorn sausage (1 syn), s/corn

D: Failed here! Gave in to Chinese! 150g Fried Rice (2 syns), few chips (5 syns?), 1/3 portion S&S chicken (HEB + 5 syns?), 4 tbsp gravy (4 syns?)

Snk: Alpen Light (1/2 HEB), 2 cake bites (7 syns and NOT worth it), Mn maltesers (5.5 syns), Milk (HEA) with NAS Crusha

Total Syns: 31.5 (ish!) and NO FRUIT again, must try harder!

Drink: NAS squash x 3, 1 x coffee, 1 x tea, 1 x can diet Pepsi

Sunday was meant to be original but bf ate sausages I had cooked for my sandwich at lunch so now Mix2Max (aiming for 15 syns), back to Original again - got called round to the in-laws so no time for a proper lunch!

B: 2xEgg Omelette, 28g cheese (HEA), 2xBacon, 2xMorrison's Saus, Tom K (2 syns)

L: 2 X Alpen Light (HEB), cheese curls (3.5 syns), mini Twix (5 syns)

D: Gammon, 227g Jacket Potato (HEB), Flora (1 syn), Cottage cheese

Snk: Milk (HEA) with NAS Crusha, Mini twister (2.5 syns)

Total Syns: 14

Drink: 2 x coffee, 1 x tea, NAS squash x 4

Snk: Mn maltesers (5.5 syns) (treat after ironing - I HATE ironing!!)

D: Chicken, bbq spread & bake 1tbsp (1 syn), 42g rf cheese (HEA), 227g Jacket Potato (HEB), Flora x light (1 syn), x light salad cream (1 syn)

Snk: Mini Milky Way Stars (3.5 syns), Mini Twix (5 syns) - got a bit of a choc craving tonight! Glad I've only got mini bars in the house!!!

Total Syns: 11.5 syns

Drink: 2 x coffee, 2 x tea, NAS squash x 3, 1 x can Fanta Zero

Thanks Nikki! I used to just write it down in a book day by day but struggled to include red days with no planning as I'm not that keen on meat really, but if I try and plan ahead I manage to do some red days (if I stick to it haha!!). I find weekends the hardest so thought if I had to record what I eat for other's to see I might think twice about eating naughty things, hmm didn't exactly work still had a Chinese this weekend :eek:. Anyway thanks for your comment :) and good luck with SW!

Mix 2 Max help please!

Can someone help me please??:)
I think I'm going to do Mix2Max next week as I struggle to lose weight just doing Green Days but I really don't like red days, I get sick of the taste of meat (!) halfway through my meals and then just go hungry! :( My snacks generally are synned or fruit/yoghurt which is free on both days anyway. So if anyone is reading this who knows about Mix2Max can you please tell me whether I've got it right in my head:

You pick either red or green for each meal (3 meals) and stick to it for that meal.

All snacks must be food that is free on red and green, or synned. Any syns must be taken at the highest syn amount for that item.

2 HEBs/HEAs can be from either original or green lists.

So does it matter if I have 2 green and 1 red meal or 2 red and 1 green? So if I had a red breakfast and the other 2 meals were green is that ok?

Have I missed anything? Please help! Than-Q! :D

It looks as though you have it right,
You can have 2 red meals and one green or 2 green and one red, its up to you, but say you have sausages you would have to count them as the higer syn value ie green syn value even though the meal was a red meal. I hope that makes sense.

Friday 26th September (Green) WI/'cheat' day! Tgt 25 syns

Lost another 1 lb!! :) had some really good news last night so celebrated with my fave choc bar - Twirl - was hoping it wouldn't sabotage today's WI and it hasn't thankfully! Am going to have tonight off plan as we fancy a pizza and tomorrow is going to be difficult sticking to plan but I will do my best!!

B: 1 x ww bread (1/2 HEB), baked beans, grated cheese (HEA)

Snk: Alpen Light (1/2 HEB), Banana

L: Spicy Mugshot, 3 x WG crackerbread (1/2 HEB), 28g Tesco LC soft cheese (2.5 syns), Strawbs

Snk: Alpen Light (1/2 HEB)

D: Pizza (3 slices) and spicy french fries (1/3 portion)
Snk: Mini maltesers (5.5 syns)

Total Syns: Too many but am celebrating so off plan tonight

Saturday 27th September - Prob Green - not sure what will be having really - going to Manchester United (sorry if that's a swear word to some of you!) which includes a hot buffet type lunch so hoping there will be rice/potatoes of some kind then will be back late so no idea about evening meal! Will TRY to be good! Aiming for 25 syns which may be fairly estimated anyway!

Ended up being Mix 2 Max day (ish!!)

Breakfast: 2 x ww bread (HEB), baked beans, cheese (HEA)

Lunch: Noodles, 3 Prawns (1 syn?), chilli sauce (2 syns?) to start. Main course had Roast Veg pasta bake, 2 x baby potatoes (1 syn oil), salmon (HEB) with small amount of white wine sauce (2 syns?). Dessert: medium sized choc chip cookie (8 syns?)

Dinner: Pub meal - chicken, bacon, cheese (HEA), few chips (8 syns?)

Snack: 2 x Cadbury Freddo (11 syns) - don't know why I ate these apart from they are chocolate!!!

Estimated Total Syns: 33 (far too many! But had a fantastic day and the food was gorgeous! Must be real good tomorrow)

Back on plan today!!! Well, that was the idea when I got up!!
Sunday 28th September - Green - aiming for 15 syns

Breakfast: 2 x ww bread (HEB), 28g cheese (HEA) melted

Lunch: Mugshot, Asda cheese curls (3.5 syns)

Dinner: Chicken, bbq sauce (1 syn), 28g cheese (HEA), 1/2 pasta n sauce cheese n broc

Dessert: 1 x Cadbury Dairy Milk Caramel (12 syns), 5 x shortbread biscuits (21 syns) Aaaarrrgghhhhh why do people bring 'naughty' food as presents when they know you're dieting!!! I know I should have willpower but I didn't have any today! Ruined it for the week now I will be lucky to sts.

Drink: 2 x coffee, NAS squash x 4

Total Syns: 37.5-Too many AGAIN!

Although I feel I have already ruined any weight loss chances this weekend, I will stick to the plan the rest of the week - damage limitation! If I can stay away from the massive box of shortbread my mum brought back from hols!! I love it too!! Will aim for less than 10 syns every day this week.

Monday 29th September - Green day
