What do the meals look like? and what can you with them?

For lunch I had vegetable curry made out of Cauliflower, mushrooms, vegetable soup pack and curry powder. It was really nice :)
I used 1tsp curry powder, about 100ml of water into the veg soup pack but you can use less or more depending how thick/runny you want the "curry sauce". Boiled the cauli and mushrooms then poured the curry sauce over them and mixed it until all was coated.
Sorry no pic phone battery didn't have enough charge to allow pics to be taken.

Ohhh that sounds yummy! I would try it but don't have any soups :(

I'd buy these!

Hehe
I haven't made any lately, been lazy (I prefer them cooked in the oven than the microwave)

How long do you cool the courgette crisps ??

Did you season them with anything mmmmm :)

Biscuits look scrummy too

The packs are really yummy- I'm normally super fussy with 'normal' food, but honestly- give everything a try because you might be surprised what you enjoy! :)

What a great thread !!!.............I'm starting my s&s journey tomorrow and the ideas in this thread for how to use the packs has given me more confidence that I will be able to do this !! Thank you and PLEASE keep your ideas coming !!

Hey mummyrodgers......looks like we're in the same neck of the woods.......ish....!
Well second day..........hungry hungry hungry.............glugging water.........gurgling tummy............but been good............I am finding it hard, but if everyone is right, only a day or two and then I'll start to feel better..........How do you find it ? I had chilli today, it was lovely although minute lol, much nicer than the spag bol I had yesterday, need to try and improve that one somehow !

I've been experimenting with spices and loving the results. I can only cook a little but I'm determined to learn and build my confidence up when I'm done. With the little one due in November, I want to be able to cook so that it takes any cooking pressure off the mrs, and also just to be doing the right thing food wise.

Normally I only have one actual meal a day but as its the mrs weekend at work, and I'm prone to boredom, I decided to have 2. (I have a shake for brekkie, normally have a bar for lunch but this meant it could be my Saturday night treat).

For lunch, I dry fried some leeks and cabbage with paprika. I added several spices to my chilli (asaefotida, chilli, cayenne, marjoram, curry powder, turmeric, and Garam masala). Probably over the top but it was lovely and a good start to experimenting.

For dinner I par boiled some cauli then covered it in a dry mustard "zinger" I have from a trip to Canada. I then dry fried the cauli. I also added some to my macaroni cheese. All in all a yummy spicy macaroni cheese.

For supper, I dry fried about 120g of turkey, again with the zinger. Yummy.

I only have seven meals left, so after that I'll be a bit stumped - my chicken or turkey will become my main meal instead (it's been my evening treat). I have 15 days worth of packs left, which is handy as I have 15 days till my one day break. I'll then use my spare exante packs while I order some new slim and save packs (waiting for my favourites to come back into stock). Timing wise it all fits in with my expectations of another 7 or 8 weeks on the plan.

Oops, went off track - was just meaning to go into the experimenting. My next experiment will be with herbs and a spag Bol with cabbage and leek.

That sounds gorgeous yum

I made mac cheese tonight added spices, garlic, pepper & poured over baby cauliflower delish, was so nice. Attached pic

Looks yummy! It makes things much nicer and more normal for me.

Today I dry fried some cabbage and leeks, with dried spices like parsley, ginger, oregano and a couple of others. Then added the same to the spag Bol. I'd say it as yummy buy I've said the about everything. It was nummy instead.

I love chicken sprinkled with smoked paprika. I pan dry fry it (on a low heat cooks slowly) and add mushrooms in the pan so the juices all combine. This with a side of spinach is currently my number 1 meal!

Thai soup, although very bland IMHO, even with added spices! Won't be buying this again
