What documentation did you get?

I am just wondering what documentation everyone got on their first CD visit. Someone posted a while ago that you get two books but i only got one. Also, is there a card that you get where your weight is written on each week - I know the CD counsellor has one but wondered whether there was one for members to take home.

Yeah - I got two books, one about sole source and the other called "weight care management with Cambridge". I also got a green weight record card that I have taken home with me

Generally you get a pink booklet (called "Sole Source"), a thicker yellow booklet (called "Weight Care With Cambridge") and a little green card for you to keep a record of your weights and measurements. Of course, if for some reason your counsellor didn't have all those booklets in stock, he or she may give you the remaining ones at your next visit. Also, although it is advised that we hand out the yellow booklet at the first visit, I know some counsellors don't like to do so as it gives lots of information about maintenance including recipes which might be a bit overwhelming for some people when they're just starting (me, I like to know what I'm in for).

Just ask your counsellor about it next time you see him/her. It may have just been an oversight.

Cambridge advise their counsellors that they must issue the client with the Weight Care with Cambridge booklet and that they can charge the clients for it if they wish.

I personally don't charge clients for it but usually on the first visit I give the pink Sole Source booklet and then after 2 weeks give the yellow booklet. The reason I don't give both on the first visit is because so many clients give up within the first 2 weeks and decide that Cambridge is not for them!

The pink sole source booklet contains everything you need to know if you are following the sole source plan for the first week or 2, with the yellow booklet detailing Add a Meal, maintenance and the higher calorie plans and recipies.

Your CDC should have a green record card for you to keep - just ask for one.

    Hope this helps

    Thank you

Thanks to everyone. I only got one booklet - Weight Care with Cambridge. I didn't get one about sole source or a member card. I went for my second visit last week but didn;t get anything then either. Think I may need to ask for them next week.

I too was issued two booklets, but I did not get a green card to record my weightloss. I use excel anyway so this is not a problem.

The sole source book contains some very important information, so do ask your counsellor for it. But in the meantime if you want to read it, look on the Cambridge Diet website, you can download it if your computer can read pdf files. Go to:
    • Company News tab
    • Press Releases and Downloads
    • Brochure Downloads
Good luck on your CD journey.
