well i left my book in my bag so took another in the bath with me....chic lit again as i need easy stuff to take my mind of things at mo...started reading 'Good in Bed' by Jennifer Weiner which i picked up and made my OH pay for at asda..only cost £1 and i told him it was a porn book PMSL. Its actually quite funny...main character reminds me of Mirander Hart in some ways. Its about a reporter who is on a break from her boyfriend when he decides it must mean they are over and he writes a feature in a magazine about loving a 'larger lady'. Enjoying it so far.

Also....just out of interest...its a long shot but has anyone ever read a book called 'Sally's Family' by Gwendoline Courtney or a book called 'Polly of Primrose Hill' by Kathleen O'Farrel??? they are pretty old books, Sally's family was 1st published in 1946.
They are 2 of my favourite childhood books. I still have Polly but i have lost Sally's family in house moves over the years :(

Just started to read "The Pleasures and Sorrows of Work" by Alain de Botton, for the second time.

I read Good In Bed a few years ago before my kindle and got some raised eyebrows from my workmates when they saw the title!
I've read all her books now. Have you read any Jane Fallon books? I find them similar.

Finished Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and now moving on to easy read Katie Fforde's "Summer of Love"

What did you think of it? I've got it, just waiting to be in the mood for it!

Very clever book and I did enjoy it - lots of twists. I did find it was a book that I had to concentrate on at first mainly because of the Swedish character and place names but once into it I couldn't put it down. Having an easy read now before moving onto the second one!

I'm reading Middlesex at the moment. It's about 3 generations of a Greek family & is very involved, there's a lot of 1920's Greek & American history in it. It's good though, I'm enjoying it so far. I might go for a Phillipa Gregory book next. I want to read the girl with the dragon tattoo before I watch the film.

Just picked up "yesterday's sun" and "before I go to sleep" at library....

Before I go to sleep is fab! It's a real page turner, I couldn't wait to pick it up and see what happens next....

I'm really not a fan of chick lit, read a few and they just don't interest me much:)

Same here but my friend reads loads and we swap books so tend to alternate - this Katie Fforde one is warming up but at mo feel it could be predictable......shall let you all know x
