Total Solution Will I get into the dress?!

    Hi, I've been on this forum for many years, with many diets, but this is my first ever diary. I thought it would be useful for me to keep me on track if I was accountable to a wider audience. Not sure if anyone will read this, but knowing it's on the internet is enough.

    So me... I started in January 14st exactly after a Christmas month eating too much. I knew my wedding dress was a size 14 and the dress ladies had said 'don't put on ANY weight' but in my wisdom I ate everything in sight!!

    Anyway, I did 2 weeks 100% TS and lost 1stone. Moved onto WS and since then my weigh my has STS. I went for my first dress fitting on Thursday and it was too tight :-( could blame TOTM or the meal I had the night before, but ultimately I was too big.

    So my plan is to 100% TS with the 100kcals extra. I'll do this until I lose another stone. Ideally, until my next fitting on the 4th March.

    So fingers crossed I can re find my determination and will power :))

    Hi Alison, well done on your weight loss so far. You will look fabulous in your wedding dress, I bet they will be taking it in by the time your wedding day arrives.
    That rings so true with me too, someone saying 'don't put on any weight' for me is like a red rag to a bull and I am instantly looking for the biscuit tin! You can do this and you will, just think of your wedding day and that will keep you focused :) x

    Hi Alison, welcome to the forum. You have done well so far, well done.

    You are right that the diary will make you more accountable & help you keep on track.
    There is lots of support on here some come on regularly.

    I'm sure you will get into your dress by your next fitting.

    Good luck & looking forward to seeing how your 1st WI goes.

    Thank you! I do feel motivated, I know that it will be worth it when I can actually walk in the dress as I couldn't on Thursday.

    Wow I'm in exactly the same situation! My first fit is beginning of April and I'm aiming for a 14 too :D Good luck! x

    Stick with it and you'll soon be fitting into your dress and be able to breathe :)

    Hi, my wedding is on the 14th April. After a weekend off the diet I feel all bloated and horrible, but that just shows how good the diet is.

    Yesterday I had a bar for breakfast/lunch, pasta carbonara and then another bar in the evening. I'm not planning on having two bars a day, but yesterday I needed something quick to eat in the morning.

    It's a bit wrong that I'm excited to start the diet again, mainly because I love food! But I know it works and soon I will see the results again.

    Morning Alison. I think there is a sort of safety net in following the diet because it is very clear cut what you can and can't have and no risk of too large portions. There are so many of you getting married in April!

    I know, it seems a popular month! The Easter holidays are my draw, means I can have a honeymoon outside of the summer, cost wise it's a little bit better.

    Been Ill today, I have a chest infection, luckily the antibiotics I have, have no instructions about food. So I'm sticking to 100% drinking hot water like it's going out of fashion!

    Thank you! To be honest it's helped with the first two awful days because I've had no appetite at all! I've had my three packs though :)

    Also being constantly cold must be good for my metabolism lol

    Hi, I seem to be over the worst now, the antibiotics are kicking in, and so is ketosis! As awful as it sounds, because my fiancé is ill too, he's not eating which has really helped me cope with these first three days.

    I've had a choc bar, pasta and shepherds pie today with 100g of broccoli. I decided to do total plus so that I didn't have to have a food week, I think as I've only got 8 weeks till the wedding it would be great if I could do all of those. Food week last time resulted in me wanting food too much!! I did weigh everything, but I think I'll be strict with myself until after the wedding now. Don't want bloating from food if I start eating before.

    Sorry, lots of rambling today! But that's the purpose of a diary I suppose!

    Total plus for 8 weeks should be fine. I know what you mean about eating food. It does mess with your resolve.

    Well what a day! Went to work, felt awful, but muddled through and resisted the lure of the sandwich shop for my lunch and ate my pasta carbonara. Then had to take my fiancé to hospital with suspected pneumonia, took a bar and luckily came home with tablets and tissues for him! After all that I felt exhausted, and a pack wasn't going to cut it, so I had a chicken breast and lettuce with a final bar.

    Only a total of 66g carb and 804 kcal for the day so I'm sure I'm still in ketosis, as I've only just got in!!

    I have tmw off work, so least I can catch up on my sleep
