Wondering about milk

I was away with friends for the weekend, and while I stuck to my food packs, I was bothered by THE worst heartburn.
Before bed I couldn't bear it and had a small glass of milk - semi skimmed.
It cured the heartburn but now I'm fretting that this will mess things up for me.
Is it likely to have a bad effect on my weight loss this week?
Would some exercise help counter act the damage?
I'm doing SS and have been 100% till this. Weigh in is on Thursday and milk incident was Saturday...

I think you'll be ok. If you only had a small amount you should still be in Ketosis, its not like you had a piece of bread or something really naughty. You will still lose weight! x

Just wondered as have been reading horror stories of people cheating once and putting on 8lbs!
I take ranitidine for heartburn which you can now buy over the counter as zantac 75...
Much better than taking chances with food...

You can have 200ml of semi skimmed milk a day on SS+, so I'm pretty sure a one off glass of semi skimmed milk won't have hurt your diet. Don't beat yourself up over it, you made the best decision you could at the time & will know to be prepared for the future in case of heartburn. If the scales do (but I'm sure they won't) show an increase, it's only going to be a false increase as I'm sure there's no where near 3,500 cals in a small glass of milk, which would only give you an increase of a pound anyway!

Stop worrying, relax, and look forward to your weigh in - it'll be a good one.

Thanks for all your comments - I'm just back from my second weigh in and I'm delighted to say I've lost another 6lbs. I can't believe how great this diet is!

Is it the world's best kept secret? That you can lose weight so fast and without feeling any hunger?

And the bars...mmm...what did I do before them?...yum:eek:

And there was me just about post that i had half a skinny latte on holiday and still managed to lose 6lbs this week so cant be that bad, just dont make a habit of it now you know it doesnt effect the scales negatively lol (although the skinny latte was nice! ;))
You'll be fine, apparently theres less carbs in semi skimmed than full skimmed(not sure how true that is) and skimmed milk is on 810, few extra calories but nothing major.
