Thought this might help motivate us. Some of us get saddened by "small" losses such as 1lbs. But it's 1lbs fat, gone, forever, and this is what it looks like:

And this, I believe, is 5lbs:

So just remember, it's not all numbers and every pound counts!

Inches count too, check out the sizing table.

Thanks for posting these photo's, I have to say I beat myself up if I only lose 1 or 2lb a week but I have just bought a 1lb fat replica & I can't believe the size of it, I didn't expect it to be so big..

5lbs looks a hell of a lot eh?
remember though that that 5lb scale loss doesnt mean 5lbs of fat gone.
depending what diet youre doing it's hard to lose just fat, you willl lose water and lean muscle tissue in with the fat. to lose more than 2lbs a week fat would be extremely difficult.

So to lose that much fat, in the pic, you would have to lose maybe 10lbs+ scale weight, maybe more.

actually are you sure you got the right figures for the picture?
1lb of fat is roughly a mug full, the first pic looks more than that.
cant possibly say about the 2nd pic.
I have the 1lb fat replica bought from the site where a couple of CDC's have bought theirs & yep the 1st pic defo looks like my 1lb replica..
I saw a dietician when I was a teenager, and she once showed me my weight loss that week in tubs of butter (literally she held up two 500g tubs of butter to show 2 pounds). So even now, many years later, I still use the tubs of butter analogy to see how much I have lost!

Looking at butter has never made me feel so good before! :D

What positive reinforcement on all counts. Well done for convincing me that a solitary llb is worthy of losing. It is all in the right direction anyway.
