2 week challenge anyone starting 8th may?

Hello!

Well done on your loss Emma! I LOVE stuffed crust pizza :-( stay strong!

Congratulations on the sts Cheryl. That's great.

I was put off OA by a post on here that said is was quote a religious based programme. Is this still the case? I just fear that it may not be the best fit for me if that is the case.

I had my WI tonight - lost 9lb! Really happy with that. It was effectively a new week 1 though. Was just looking at my mini goals, and I am quite far off from where I thought I would be. But my progress is good - just think my expectations were unrealistic.
I'm over halfway through my journey now. Exciting! Though still a little daunting I have to do the same again!
hi hun no oa is nothing to do with religion, it does refer to your 'higher power' but you can interpret that as you wish, a guardian angel, your willpower etc- noone is trying to convert anyone and doesnt matter what religion you are everyone is welcome- hope that clears that up. God i sound like i work for oa haha honestly im not here all jehovas witness type recruiting oh members lol i dont mean to preach just i didnt know about oa before and would have been grateful to anyone who had told me about it, if it helps just one person than great- if its not for you fair enough thats great too :D

well done on your loss hun 9lbs is awesome :talk017::party0011::party0011::party0011::party0011::party0011::party0011::party0011::party0011::banana dancer::banana dancer::banana dancer::banana dancer::banana dancer::woohoo: xx

Thanks and well done on your amazing loss!

Cheryl I think you should take fearless's advice and try the OA meeting, if it is a pity party then try to find another as she said.

I sadly did not resist the pizza I took a bite chewed it and then spat it back out! Do you think this means that I messed up my 100%? I never actually swallowed it!!!

No - you're still 100% - that definitely doesn't count!

Thanks. Good to know. Id never heard of it before, and it sounded like something I would benefit from. But the comments I had read had put me off.

I'll definitely look into it.

thats definately not cheating, thats just letting the pizza tickle ur mouth. no harm in that . such willpower to not swallow it though. u go girl!! :D
i will definately be going to oa next week.
congratulations on the wonderful 9lbs loss jayelle :happy096::talk017:.
keep up the good work ladies.
u inspire me :D

sorry your evening didnt go as planned hun, i know how mush you was looking forward to your meeting! i didnt end up going either, mainly due to me energy levels being so low at the minute and i have to get a bus and a metro to get to me meeting and metro and bus back and just didnt feel upto it, gonna get me oa book out for a bit read before bed might get me head into gear.

that doesnt sound too good what your cdc said, i cannot really comment on that only been to my nearest one and its amazing full of longterm members and newer ones so get to hear stories from those in recovery and those starting recovery- very inspirational! maybe if you gave it a try and it is as your cdc said at that one a bit of a pity party try the next closest to you along, dont give up on it- the first meeting can be a bit surreal but it can really turn your overeating around if you are ready for it.

thanks for the comments on me furbabies, they are my world! and half the reason the house is always a tip lol. gotta get some pics of yours i adore cats and dogs, have you read love it magazine? they have a section where half the pics are of animals and half of babies, i always awwwwwwwww at the animals and dont give the babies a look lol. xx

sorry u didnt attend ur meeting either lover. we both have to make the effort next week, right? :)
ive only read the 'love it' mag a few times and that was only as a browsing moment. lol
i do have a soft spot for babies too though. we have tried for almost 14 years for another child but since having the implant removed 14 years ago my body has been very screwed up with regards to cycle. in the last 3 years i havent had a period at all. :sigh:
i do have the next best thing though. my grandson... my biggest reason to smile each day (some days my only reason to smile). he lives with us so i get to catch all those special moments :)

Morning ladies - had trouble posting yesterday - kept getting ditched out of post so I eventually gave up.

Cheryl it's great that you managed to stay the same last week and good for you for sticking 100% yesterday.

Jayelle what a great loss for you - I hope that mine will be as good. My first weigh in isn't 'till Wednesday evening when I'll have been on SS for 1 week 2 days, so I think I'll have to do an unofficial one on Monday.

Emma good for you for not swallowing! That definitely doesn't count!

Woke up with thumping headache at 6.00am today. It's now 8.45 and I've already had more than 1l of water and pain meds - I hope it shifts soon as the kids are on an inset day today and we've got a busy day planned.

Bizarre moment of the week for me - collected DD and friends from Brownies last night and turned into our road to find a PEACOCK strolling along it!!

Fearless - we love animals too. We have two kitties who are real characters. Sadly no dogs as I'm very allergic to them. Your pets are v cute!

Well, here's "good moaning" to everyone - the sun is shining here so I'm going to get my a**e into gear and get out that door!

Hey! I did it - I'm all Sparklee! Am I now a fully qualified "Amiguette"?

love your banner hun :D:D:D:D i meant to say when you posted last time that i got your 'good moaning' post, not showing your age at all :p im only 24 and know about it lol.

must get some pics of your kitties :D. sadly i am very allergic to all animal fur so have a right rotton time of it (in fact have developed asthma through it and need an inhaler :argh: but whats a girl to do, i couldnt love them more than if they came from my own womb ;) if a baby came along and was allergic ide have to rehome the baby :8855:

hope you have a good day today hun xx

wow have you seen a specialist about this hun (sorry if thats a stupid question), are you still trying? Have you thought about using a surrogate? it would be your egg and your husbands sperm so your baby genetically and just borrowing a tempary home til ready to be in the real world?

its lovely your grandson lives with you and you get to see him doing all the new things. i dont hate kids by any means just prefer me furbabies :p

how are you feeling today?

I was thinking that too!

Where is it that you live that a peacock could just wander in!!!?

when i was 16 went to florida with family and stayed in a villa, there was flamingos just wandering around the place- gorgeous, now if that was round where i live theyde have been stoned to death by the yobs and probs eaten for tea!! they were lush aswell. ive seen a peacock but in captivity obv lol think it was preston park- bootiful.

Same round here! I love Preston Park! I'm only in Crawley!

me mam and dad used to take me and me three brothers all the time when we were little, im so going this summer on day trip its fab- your so lucky livin so close! xx

I tend to spend alot of time up in Brighton over the summer...really want to move there but we just couldn't afford it!
