2014 is MY year!

    I have decided to start a diary and keep myself on track. I have lost weight with SlimmingWorld before, and was very happy and enjoying this healthy way of eating,but the fad diet monster crept back inside my brain and since then i have been on and off fat diets and have now put a lot of the weight back on. love this website as you're all so helpful! looking forward to reading your diaries! :bighug: xxxx

    so ,considering i started today without having done a good healthy slimmingworld friendly shop i haven't done too badly....

    Breakfast - porridge with semi skimmed milk and chopped banana (HEA + HEB)

    lunch - Salad (free) with plain jacket potato (free)

    Dinner - chinese king prawn chow mein with a side of steamed broccoli ,i did ask for them to use no oil in the chow mein so that it would be free,but they basically said it wouldn't cook/taste right so said they would use a teeny bit :/ hmmm book says 7syns for chicken chow mein,but this was quite a long tub so will count 10 syns.

    Drinks - lots of water and a diet coke!

    Hey dyingtobethin, I just started my diary today as well - and same story as yourself, I lost weight on SW before and then lost the run of myself. I'm making it my priority for this year!!

    You've made a great start but I think I read somewhere that the syns for chow mein have been revised upwards. I wouldn't worry about one meal off plan though - I had a lovely meal out last Thursday and I think It kick started my metabolism again!!

    hey hun thanks for the reply, didnt realise it had changed,will look into that, tbh there wasnt any oil at the bottom of the container and it tasted more of soya sauce,

    Breakfast - egg.bacon(fat removed).mushrooms (cooked in frylight )and half a tin of tomatoes with 2 slices of wholemeal toast (HEB + 3.5 syn for other slice)

    yesterdays meals -
    breakfast
    Breakfast - egg.bacon(fat removed).mushrooms (cooked in frylight )and half a tin of tomatoes with 2 slices of wholemeal toast (HEB + 3.5 syn for other slice)

    skipped lunch as i wasn't hungry

    dinner - bachelors cheese and broccoli pasta with steamed broccoli and green beans (free)

    went to coffee with the girls and had a starbucks skinny vanilla spiced latte (no cream :cry:) im pretty sure it was 170 calories so 8.5 syns, i didnt use all of my milk allowance yesterday so am going to knock a few syns off and say 5 syns for the latte???

    total syns = 8.5

    feeling less bloated already and starting day 3 today already 2lb down! i remember why i love this way of eating so much xx

    So today....struggled a bit...

    Breakfast- 2 wholemeal toast (heb + 3.5syns) egg.bacon.mushrooms and tomatoes cooked in fry light

    Lunch - apple and a breakfast bar 5syns

    Dinner - chicken.potatoes (fried in a few sprays of fry light) with cabbage and carrots

    While I was cooking dinner I was starving and grabbed a choc cake bar:mad: at 6.5 syns

    Hea used in tea

    So 15 syns today.xx

    Edit.have had another chocolate bar at 6.5 syns.so disappointed in myself.been craving sugar all day.I think it's because I'm a proper sugar junkie usually and was having 3 spoonfuls of sugar in my tea all day(gross I know) now using sweeteners. have also had contraceptive implant removed so hormones are a mess :( hopefully a better day tomorrow

    21.5 syns for the day :mad::mad::mad::mad:

    Breakfast-egg on toast 3.5 syns and 2 syns for ketchup

    Lunch -bag of crisp and Apple 5 syns

    Dinner.chicken and veg

    Total 10.5syns and hea used in milk for tea xxx

    Very upset with myself .last few days have been very stressful and guess what I did?I turned to junk food. Feeling very annoyed.

    Today was supposed to be my first weeks weigh in. And ive lost a grand total of 0lb.it hasnt helped that im on a very tight budget atm.desperately need healthy food in the house.

    Have had egg.bacon mushrooms on dry toast (HEB) for breakfast.

    So yesterday I didnt really eat much. Bar of chocolate and lots of tea sighh*

    So far today
    Breakfast- porridge and milk hea and heb

    Lunch -tomatoes.egg.bacon.mushrooms and beans cooked in frylight and fat removed

    Dinner-chinese planned.will be having chow.mein (10syns) and a side of boiled veg.

    Am doing online shopping as I type this.lots of sw friendly foods and meal plans made so feeling very positive about the rest of this week x

    So today's meals...

    Breakfast - 28g of weetabix with 200ml of alpro hazelnut milk (hea and heb) with chopped banana/rasberries.blueberries and cherries.

    Lunch - half pack of batchelors pasta'n'sauce macaroni cheese(0.5syns?) with salad and asda's sweet chilli and pepper cottage cheese (0.5 syns for 100g)

    Dinner - garlic chicken with carrots.baby potatoes.broccoli and cabbage (free)

    Snacks/drinks- have had options mint choc at 2 syns so far and plan to have a bag of baked walkers crisp at 5syns

    So total of 8syns x

    So yesterday the meals went to plan.except I.had another hot choc 2syns and 5syns worth of branflakes with the rest of my hexa.so 15 syns in total.still proud as its a lot healthier than my usual diet.dont know why I beat myself up even when I stay under syn allowance :confused:

    Todays breakfast.....
    Egg.bacon.mushrooms,beans with cheese (hea) and 2 WM toast 400g(heb) xx

    Deffo don't beat urself up! Sticking to syns! Ur doing great!

    Alot of mugshots are free,some arnt, which flavour was it xx

    It was chicken and sweetcorn.only managed a couple of mouthfuls.I think they're disgusting :( wish I liked them. And thanks hun :) xx
