Did day 1 today and think it's great... really hard and totally knackering but great all the same. My OH tried it yesterday morning and said it was the hardest workout he's every done... and he is pretty fit as he cycles, rows and runs! I too found the cycle crunches hurt my lower back and I just did normal crunches instead. Same with the one where you lift your bum and crunch. It really hurts the bottom of my spine.
Found the cardio really hard to complete. The skipping I did with one foot up and one foot down as just couldn't lift both feet, but did the jumping jacks... although soooo hard towards the end. The bum kicks was more like jogging on the spot for me. But I thought it is day 1 and I am nearly 22 stones and to just keep moving throughout the whole thing will be doing me good.
Kind of looking forward to doing it again tomorrow.
Also, in the other exercise news... I bought a push bike yesterday! I haven't ridden a bike since I was 12 (years, not stones!) so that's 35 years ago! Found it really hard to gain my confidence back and had a very wobbly first try last night on a deserted car park. Found that the bulk of my thigh meeting the bulk of my middle at the top of the pedalling really uncomfortable and caused me to have a wobble. But will stick with it as hoping that, combined with the 30 day shred, it will have me burning lots of fat.
