A Journey of 5 stone or more ?

Tell me about it - I feel the total same!! Especially seeing people on 8wks plus ... With amazing results I might add!!
It's wont be long and we are in the swing of it all! Are you just staring your second week? X

I'm 8 weeks on and it felt like I only started yesterday! It has gone so quickly and I never dreamed I'd be over 2 stone lighter! Still a long way to go but I am a third ofmy journey!!

I am virtual online shopping for clothes I've got full baskets in loads of shops and haven't spent a penny.;)

I've been reading about exercise. Probably not as helpful as actually doing exercise, but it kept my mind occupied for a bit :S

haha I do that, I read lots of stuff about working out and eating right, doesn't make me get off my fat arse and do it though lol

I know ... I really want to get back into the gym (that I pay for each month and rarely go!!) but I keep thinking I look a joke next to the skinny Minnie's .... I tried my gym clothes on last week and they felt so tight ... So I am giving myself a bit of slack and decided that i will face the gym when I've lost the 1st stone.
I've done some walking this week.

I know when I get a bit lighter I love the gym and the buzz you get after ... Fresh feeling and the energy etc.
X

Pfft don't worry about that! You should go and be proud that you're doing something about getting fitter! I know what you're saying tho and whatever you feel happiest with is bound to bring better results!

Hi Everyone

Glad to see you are all doing so well. I've just finished my first week of Exante and found it very easy - with 10lbs lost in firstweek. I appreciate that is mostly water but can I ask, has anyone found it hard to get in to ketosis? I did LL a few years back, and successfuly lost and maintained for quite some years, although switched to Exante for the benefits of cost and not having to sit through sessions again. Therefore I know what to expect, and with the great initial loss I have the horrible taste in my mouth but I am not in ketosis!

Or at least my pee stick says I'm not. I am on medication which I cannot quit - do you think this could be why?

Thanks all xx

Is the pee stick not changing colour at all? After nearly a week of doing the diet you definitely should be in ketosis by now. But the sticks aren't always reliable and I'd say the nasty taste in your mouth indicates you probably are.

I'd agree with that - especially with such a great weight loss and the funny mouth taste.

I also got told the sticks are not 100% reliable.
I wouldn't worry if you feel ok and the scales are going down, well done!!

X

Thanks Jael and Sam. It's on the colour 1 up from the colour it is supposed to me. You're right, the loss should be encouragement alone. First week done for the new me. Good luck girls. How are you finding it so far?
x

My understanding is as long as you are showing a colour not the natural 1st one you are in ketosis and that's great!

I am ok thank you... Just having a bit of self pampering .... Long soak, scrub, brush and facial!!

It's my week 1 weigh in tomorrow .... Fingers crossed!!

Good luck tomorrow, fingers crossed, I'm sure you've done great. If it doesn't show on the scales then you are retaining water and it doesn't mean you haven't lost. It's impossible to eat that many calories a day and not lose, but I hope you see the numbers you are expecting xx

I've had a quiet weekend alone at home, apart from a quick trip to Tesco to buy food for my daughter for the week and water for me, I've done very little, which is nice because it meant I wasn't tempted by anything. Also, I'm peeing like a racehorse so staying home was probably the best thing for me lol.

Hee hee, yes, the water intake is certainly something to get used to. I think we all have to do whatever it takes to keep us away from the supermarket and binges. Well done you, it must be hard buying for others and not eating yourself. I am, at least, on my own so don't have to take care of others' meals. Still, end result has to be incentive no matter what is going on around us. Good luck this week x

Tell me about it ... My OH Is a builder and eats like a horse! So the house is well stocked and I try and do his evening meal as he is shattered when he gets home.
It doesn't really bother me shopping and cooking as long as I have a hot drink near by to sip when the smells start!!.

I don't struggle with the water - I try have a glass near by all the time.

Good luck with your journey x

It is the smells isn't it! Lunch time at work can be torturous, I like to think of it is Food Porn but I don't go near it ;-)

I've always drank a lot of water but this diet makes me thirsty all the time, so it's the getting up in the night that's annoying, still it will all be worth it

About to weigh myself, I do love the anticipation xx

How are you Jael?
Sounds like you had a peaceful weekend ... I know what you mean about staying away from everything a/it's always blooming expensive and b/ there is always food and drink as temptation!!

I think my other halves family might do a
Meal for Mother's Day this Sunday .... Not sure to say I'm not going (she cooks amazing food) or to sit there with my meal replacement and water!

Have a good week x

Hi Sam, I'm having a bad day today mood and motivation wise :( I'm letting the scales dictate my mood again, which exactly what I didnt want to happen. For some reason my weight just doesnt seem to want to shift and it's only the first week, I should be losing loads of water weight at least. And my family are trying to sort out going for a meal for Mothers Day which is stressing me out.
