august start , Day 5 !!

Well I started lighterlife total 5 days ago and must admit Ive been STARVING ! and just been hoping and praying that ketosis kicks in and the hunger subsides :cry: Up to now Im still gettin hunger pangs , but nothin like I was expecting .

I know it takes everyone different lengths of time to go into ketosis , but I was just wondering when do the hunger pangs go away ?? as they are the only things that are gettin me down

I have alot of weight to loose and feel like this is my last resort and my only option so I need to do this !

Any advice would be very helpful , just to hear from others who are going through the same as me :wave_cry:

Hi allymc - I'm on day 7. The hunger pangs almost disappeared yesterday, but this afternoon they're back with a vengeance, so I'm hoping someone can give us both some good news! Don't forget you're not alone, there are a few of us started last week. We CAN do this! :)

Oh god so its not gonna happen in the next couple of days then ?!? nightmare , lol
will just have to forget about them , which I find easy in the day , but when I go bed at night they seem to get worse :(
Will just look forward to my first meeting/weigh in on thurs and I hope that will give me the motivation I need to get over this bit x

It seems to be a bit different for everyone so don't lose heart! Usually another peppermint tea or a hot drink helps for me, I'm hoping I'm just having an off day. My first weigh in is tonight, not sure if I'm looking forward to it or not now :\

hey allymc. im on day 5 too. ive done lighterlife last year but didnt do RTM. so i gained abit again, im in the process of getting what i gained off but believe me the first week is by far the most difficult.
i dont know if its psychological or what but after the HUGE weightloss ull have in ur first week the hunger pangs do go away.... dunno if its because your right in ketosis or just the determination to NOTthink about food after that massive loss but it does get easier after week one.
apart from the hunger, how are you finding it?

hi , well thats good to hear , as its mainly the hunger thing that im finding difficult ! To be honest its more strange than hard , just not eating , its weird !

To be honest Im finding it easier than I am figuring out how to use this site , haha

But seriously its looking towards my first weigh in thats keeping me going , Im not looking at it as a 14/16 week program Im just lookign at it from week to week , think that way It will be easier for my brain to deal with , if you know wot I mean x

i can promise you, when u stick 2 it 100% you lose lots and it sounds like your doing great.

any fave food packs? whats your least fave? xx

well I am def sticking to it , but drinking more coffee than I did before , lol !

As for favs , my fav soup has got to be veg but OMG the thai chilli is the worst thing Ive ever tasted ! and the shakes , mmmmm banana is my fav hands down , chocolate my least fav ! Found myself holding on to my banana ones to save towards thurs haha x

im the same wi the soups, could only dring the veg but the thai chilli was rank!! it made me gag. my fave milkshake is the strawb. and i LURVE the chilli con carne... AMAZING! the savoury broth is great on its own as a wee top up ( ur allowed 2 per day plus ur usual 4 foodpacks) have u had any bars yet? xx

Ive not tried the chilli con carna yet or the bars , kinda wanted to go completely cold turkey first week as I thought if I could get through that then Ill be fine !
Tried the savoury broth and thought that was ok , I brought some of the water flavouring , forest fruits its lovely !
But I will have to try the chilli con carna though , the porridge is lovely too ! does it not slow ya wait loss down having the bars and chilli though ?? x

Oh and how the bloody hell do you add a pic on here ?!?! lol

you need to do so many posts i dunno how many but i just kept going to edit avatar and one day it was there!!
even whe you have one bar per day your still in ketosis. and the chilli has the same value as any other sachet. you could have 4 per day if you like.
the forest fruits is lovely and id reccomend u try it hot.... mmmm. the st clements is good 2 but i do prefer that hot to cold.xx

think I may get myself a bar for a treat next friday and the chilli for the weekend , Oooo exciting hahaha !

Ive tried the water flavouring hot , its lovely ! I just keep drinking plenty of water , black coffee and peppermint tea , anything to fill my belly up ! Ive got sooo much weight to loose Ive got to stick to it now matter how hungry I get ! I just imagining myself in the size I wanna be and thats keeping me going !

And Ill say it again , thai chilli !!! The worst thing ive EVER tasted !! lol

oooooh I've never thought of having fruits of forest hot and I'm on week 7! Is it like ribena?!

Would agree with everyone else first week is definitely the worst. But the good news is the hunger pangs do subside alot - especially if you up your water intake :D

Hi , the fruits of the forest is yummy hot , and it is abit like ribena , but dont put too much in as I found its stronger with hot water , lol !

I hope the hunger does subside , as I have been drinking plenty of water , Ive never been the toilet so much in my life , haha sorry to much information there x
