Blimp to Bombshell: RawrGirl's Weight Loss Diary

Hi Champagne! I haven't been on much for a lot time either.

Weigh-in today and RawrGirl missed seeing 129.9 by a bloodly .3 pounds. O well, she is very happy with her 2 pound loss. If the holidays weren't coming up, she could reach her goal of 119 by Christmas. But between going away for Thanksgiving, and who knows how much she will gain, even if she managed to reach goal by Christams, it will be very doubtful that she will still be at goal by January.

Grrrr! Why does yummy food have to decide to store itself on one's body. Why do people have to serve yummy food all week long at Thanksgiving and Christmas??? And one can't RawrGirl have more self-control and say no to yummy food?!?!?!

Okay, rant over...all better now.
 
Havent stopped in for a while Rawrgirl :) Pleased to see you still doing well! a 2lb loss is a great loss!
Although I must agree, yummy food does seem to store more on our bodies... but such is life :) yay you!


 
Bedroom Makeover

Well, RawGirl gained a ridiculous amount of weight over the holidays. Her pants that were baggy pre-Thanksgiving are now quite snug and her waist is up 3 inches. Thus, she refuses to get on the scale or it will only discourage her. So, she took out the battery and put it in another room and will not get on again until her waist measurement is under 29 inches (which should put her around 129). Then she shall return to trying to reach her elusive goal of 119-122.

On a happier note, RawrGirl secretly took up belly dancing to surprise Prince Charming with private dance/performances. Her debut as his personal dancer will be on Valentines Day. RawrGirl practices constantly and is very pleased with her progress so far. However, snake arms is a very big challenge for her because she has limited range of movement in her left shoulder. Very frustrating. But she is still trying. She practiced for 3 hours yesterday (and her back, particularly across the shoulders aches like you wouldn't believe, lol). The great part about belly dancing is that the more jiggle you have the better, and it's not about sucking in your belly or trying to look thinner, it really is about embracing whatever body you have and showing how pretty/sensual you can be regardless of shape (in fact some moves require you to push your stomach out). And more than one instructor mentioned that the more jiggle you have, the better (especially for the shimmies, lol). RawrGirl bought one DVD so far and has watched several other how-to videos on YouTube (some are entire DVD's someone uploaded, others are just a few minutes going over a particular move -- RawrGirl has watched several of them for snake arms. *sigh*) So if it sounds interesting (and don't forget it's a workout!), you can try it for free on YouTube -- and then if you like it, you can buy a DVD.

Anyway, secretly taking up belly dancing inspired RawrGirl to redo the master bedroom. This one is the best pic she could take of the whole room:

Hey Rawgirl

Welcome back and the bedroom looks lush :) Bet you cant wait to do you little show for you man. Know how you feel after the holidays, im desperate to get this last stone off...getting married in August so no excuses.

Gym yesterday for first time for ages felt so good :)
 
So RawrGirl figured she should drop by and check in. She has no abandoned her weight loss goals, she just hasn't been on much. Currently, she is 133.2, but her waist is 28.5 so that makes her happy. Her diet is a bit different this time (she was sick of dieting for weeks in ketosis, eating carbs every now and then on the weekend, and seeing her waist blow up 2-3 inches and the scale up 5 pounds; she wants to get to 129 with carbs/water in her body, so she can eat a pizza without it making a huge difference in her waist or on the scale). She also eating about 200 more calories a weekday (1000) and probably around 2000 on the weekends (compared to 1500). And she is belly dancing as often as possibly which is a combination of low-impact and high-impact (mostly low) aerobics. Plus she is TRYING to life weights everyday, but that takes a lot of motivation that she seems to be lacking. This week was only 4x (supposed to be 6x) and last week was only 3x. Oh, the other diet change was adding wine and cutting back on vodka to see if that improved her waist measurements. What of these changes has worked she's not sure, but her waist is lower at a higher weight now, so she feels good about that.

Still looking to get back to 129 pounds and 27.5 inch waist, and eventually 122 (to mark 50 pounds total lost) and then 119 (just to see what she looks like and be under 120, lol).

Hi Rawgirl - long time no see. Well done for sticking so close to your targets. As you can see from my stats I have been busy gaining weight since I was last here. Back onto now though (I hope!)
